I dont think that this store is that good. Im going by memory as i havnt been here for a while. To be honest, im not even sure if its still trading with that name, but i remember what it was like. This was a general store that hardly anyone went to. There were plety of other places that you could go to in and around plaistow, that peoplewouldnt go here. It looks cheap and tatty, as do the products outside, that look like they have spend 10 years outside and not been cleaned. I think the only reason to go here, is to buy batteries or some hangers. And even those, you were lucky if they worked. I would never buy anything that i really needed form here, as you would most likely be disappointed, as i was when i bought an alarm clock that didnt make a sound, except at random times of the day or night. Not recommended.

Products ranged from personal care(creams, makeup, deodrant and bath products),tools(hammer, screws), photo frames toys , cutlery, everything a person needs or runs out of and id say the most thing that they sold were batteies and lightbulbs because thats the thing most people run out of. Unfortunately this store has now closed and i am very dissapointed that it has because it was a fantastic shop that had everything and it will be sadly missed.

Although a nice sized store, layout is quite sporadic and on a bad day, when you need to find an item in a hurry, you can be chasing a memb er of staff around the store for ages as they do not seem to know where things are either! On the flip side, there are some great bargains to be had and some members of staff (not enough sadly) are very knowledgeable and helpful. Recently, self service tills have been introduced these would be a great bonus if it weren't for a couple of over zealous staff who insist on over seeing every move, thus making it slower to use these tills than the standard ones!

Beaumont Beds are a small-scale chain of furniture shops and having found one for myself, I was…read moresuitably impressed. Despite having the decor and backdrop of any typical east end London shop, looking past the gentle shabbiness is easy once you look at the prices on offer. Only a couple of hundred for some of the beds and mattress combos - you're guaranteed to make a stealing if you're willing to overlook some minor quality issues. The range is large as well - older style wooden beds, metal frames, succinct pine furniture and even some novelty and interesting shaped beds. The service was friendly, and when I said I was 'just looking' she believed me and backed off, giving me space. A decent little place.

As well as the huge main warehouse area it has a more open area at each end - one for plants and gardens, the other for wood, decking, slabs, drainpipes etc. This B and Q store is very well staffed by people who even if they don't know the answer to a question will try to find out, and are enthusiastic.
