I am writing this review because of how thrown off guard I was with my experience we had today with…read moreRachel at the T Mobile store in Joplin, Missouri. I truly hope that she's still working there next time I need something because it was a breath of fresh air to interact with someone who was pleasant and upbeat, someone who wasn't a Dbag, and someone who quite frankly was an absolute joy. My partner and I needed to replace a screen protector that had popped off the same day we bought it from an overly pushy salesman a few weeks prior. They wouldn't allow me finish my questions about the new phone I was looking to buy before cutting me off mid scentence to tell me about just how "new" and "cool" this new accessory was (that had nothing in the world to do with what I was asking about) and keep trying to sell my girlfriend on all these different things "providing that his (my) credit could cover it" only to be very surprised to see that I have outstanding credit on my store account and that I didn't owe anything on any devices or accessories on the account because I don't finance, if I can't pay for it out right then I don't need to own it yet. sorry, got off topic there, but you can get a feel of just how our trips into the store had been in the past and how much I was personally dreading going back into the store to deal with this kind of service. Throw in the fact that it's literally the Saturday before Christmas into the mix and you can start to get the feel for what I was expecting to walk into. Just imagine my dread: Walking into the store to see it as packed as I have ever seen it. Fortunately, we were able to write our names on a list of people to be helped and gave our phone number so they could text us when the person ahead of us was being helped so we didn't have to wait around. We got their text, headed over to the T Mobile store, and were greeted by Rachel who had a smiling face and immediately apologized for our wait and asked if we would like some free waters. We declined the waters and explained that we just bought the phone and screen protector and that the screen part of the protector had popped off and that we needed to get a replacement for it. She then worked with us very swiftly to replace the screen protector and get us on our way, all while making humorous small talk: complementing us on our wardrobe choices even though my girlfriend was legitimately wearing her pajamas and hiking boots. (There is being nice because we are customers and then there's actually liking something and paying a complement. now I can't be 100% sure it wasn't the second one, but it really seemed like it was a genuine compliment. ) she even managed to diffuse the questions and rising discomforts of other customers while making a very quick run to back to grab our receipt. TLDR: Rachel is a very competent employee and an utterly refreshing experience. We will no longer dread popping in and looking into upgrading our phones if shes on the clock!

My foster son dropped his phone, and we took it into the 8th st. location in Joplin, Mo. They told us that we would need to go to a phone repair shop to access the warranty on it. The repair shop replaced the internal parts of the phone. We then went to two Joplin, MO stores to get a sim card to activate the new phone because it had new serial numbers on it. It would not activate. The phone repair shop told us that they would need to order 3 new antennas for it. They told us to double check one more time with the T-mobile store that his sim card was good. To our shock, the employee told us we had insurance! My foster son's phone was purchased online before he came to my home, so I did not know (nor did he remember) that he had purchased insurance. At least 10 employees, (9 in two different stores) and one employee on a call to customer service could accurately read his account that he had insurance. Anyways, after learning about the insurance, we decided to not continue using the phone repair shop. We just got the new phone in the mail with the insurance, and we tried to activate it. The new sim card we have is now saying "locked." If you try to call Sprint/T-Mobile customer service, they tell you that they can not help you unless you give them a verification code that they text to your phone!!! This is what I'm talking about!! I can not believe the sheer stupidity. We are trying to activate the phone! They couldn't send the code to an email we could access. I am being dead serious. I live an hour away from the nearest store. This has been pure hell. Every store employee has a different answer. DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICE!!
