AT&T Store

AT&T Store

Went to do some upgrades and staff was very friendly. Monica the sales rep was very welcoming and…read moreextremely helpful. She will surely be my go to girl there! Glad this att store had friendly smiles!

On Sunday 9/28/25 I bought a Motorola phone to replace my Samsung that I have had for a few years,…read moreand I had finally cracked the back of the phone. At AT&T in Eagle Pass, Texas I selected the Moto G Stylus phone since it also has expandable memory like my Samsung with a Micro SD memory card. I very much like expandable memory over Cloud storage. Salesman was named "Noe" and he indicated that he was aware of Micro SD cards and how they are used. He proceeded to do the setup on the new phone from my old phone and after 1-1/2 to 2 hours he indicated that it was done. When preparing to leave I pointed out the USB cable that he hadn't put in the box, so he opened the box and put it in. Late that afternoon at home I got the cable out so I could put a full charge on the phone, and I became aware that the SIM removal tool was no where to be found in the box, so Noe hadn't put that back in. I called the store and asked for Noe. The girl who answered said he was busy. I explained that the SIM tool was missing and her snarky response was that "since I left it at the store I should just find a little pin". No offer from her to be of any assistance, and I never left it at the store since I never touched it to begin with. Then an hour or so later after getting it fully charged, I was scrolling the menus, features, and settings while trying to familiarize with the new phone I see that there is already over 91 GB used up of the 128 GB of internal memory, AND NO MICRO SD CARD IN MY NEW PHONE. Sure enough I checked the old phone and, and the Micro SD card was still in it with a little over 58 GB of pictures and videos on it. That told me that Noe doesn't understand what expandable memory is for nor how to use it, and he just copied EVERYTHING to the internal memory of the new phone. I borrowed a SIM tool from a Neighbor so I could get the card out of my old phone. The SIM tool I should have had for it disappeared at one of the AT&T stores in Texarkana So Monday I drove in to Eagle Pass again (another 42 mile round trip) to see if I could get the AT&T store to sort this issue out and get it properly set up. Noe wasn't there so I explained all of this to another salesman and even tried to tell me that this phone doesn't use a Micro SD card and that it was a SIM. He got rather condescending trying to convince me of that fact. He even asked where it would even go, to which I replied "in the same tray that holds the SIM card". He finally looked and really looked crestfallen. He kept saying though that he didn't know what Noe did, even after I explained it to him 3 different times. AND NO OFFER TO STRAIGHTEN IT OUT. I did manage to get him to replace the SIM tool since I feel no obligation to supply those to AT&T sales staff. Then before leaving I asked to use the restroom and was told that they don't have a public restroom. He said they send AT&T customers to Starbucks Coffee Shop. Process that will you; a corporation valued at nearly 200 billion dollars with a huge global foot print, sending customers to Starbucks to pee. Tuesday I had a full day dealing with other stuff. But Wednesday I called the AT&T store and asked for Noe. I was informed that he wasn't there. I asked when he would be in , and was curtly informed that they don't know each other's schedule. Thursday I called again. It rang about 5 times and went to a message that said something to this effect: "the party you are trying to reach at ext. 124 is not available to take any calls". I never selected ext. 124 or any other extension. I left a message with my name and number and asked for a return call. About 36 hours later and no reply. So, it looks like they have decided to GHOST me instead of using this as a much need learning and training experience for their entire staff. Noe and the other guy clearly are not cognizant about the function of expandable memory, and the snarky rude girl needs some social skills. Chances are though that it's a management problem since training is lacking, snarky attitudes, and sending people to Starbucks to pee. I doubt if it's regular floor sales people creating that atmosphere. Lesson learned though, I'll be trying stores other than the one in Eagle Pass.
