First, it's big, spacious, clean, lots of seating spaces. Second, it's got a lot of books in a lot of genres. And third, and least important to us, it's got a lot of other stuff that isn't books -- things like gifts, etc. -- that add up to a store welcoming to visitors with all sorts of interests. Our primary interest is books, and we found many to like here. Unlike some BN stores, they carry a lot of classics in different publishing formats. There are large sections of popular fiction and nonfiction, and very appealing and diverse cookbook and mystery sections. We really enjoyed our visit here, and we appreciated the friendliness of the staff. We didn't need any help in our searches, but they are quick and efficient in the checkout. Probably about 7 books to be exact. Prices were decent and I was able to find a 10% coupon. The girl at checkout was less than thrilled to check me out. I had my baby with me so I thought it was odd that she didn't offer me a bag to put my books in. She just slid them over to me. Plus, before I paid she asked me something if I wanted to pay for coffee or donate coffee without actually explaining what she meant. I did decline that.
