Usually bookstores beckon me with some sort of literature witch-craft or paper-based magnetism, but I would have walk straight past The Booklovers if it hadn't been pointed out to me. It's not flashy or flamboyant, just a tidy, intermediate sized book store.
They do a good job of stocking a selection of fiction and non-fiction, including a group of New Zealand authors. Plenty of arty, garden-y, fashion-ish books to purchase as coffee table gifts, cookbooks for women and a small kid's section. Basic New Zealand book prices so don't visit expecting a bargain.
