If you've ever come across an abandoned book on a park bench, in a train, or, as I did the other day, at a theatre - it's likely to belong to the book crossing movement. That doesn't mean there's any reason to feel guilty, if you pick-it-up, to take home and read. That's the whole intention behind it: you might find a brief note inside it encouraging you to enjoy it, or perhaps you'll discover an official label, with an ID number, enabling you to track the path of its ownership and history.
A great idea to prevent onerous book storage from taking over your house (and life) and for adding new authors to your reading repertoire. All categories of books are open to being (re)discovered in this way; hardback or paperback - in any language.
