Then on the other side you'll discuss poetry, history, philosophy, science, politics, and Staff picks. I have always loved that this shop is inside an old house, but it just brings all the vibes in the Fall months. The owner-Sheri Scruby -is a true bibliophile, and her business (amongst all the .coms) deserves to be supported! A nonpareil in the area, whether you spend a few minutes or a few hours here, it will be time well-spent!

I found one thing I was looking for specifically (The Correspondent) plus 10 more I wasn't looking for, but called my name. (A journal, a pair of socks - best priced socks in crested butte btw as far I have found!! a bookmark, a smorgasbord of stickers, plus a cute book on linguistics). What a delight! Danica informed me the stickers are locally sourced as much as possible from real artists in the community, so it's a pleasure to support the arts in Crested Butte. It's also wonderful to support a local business that stands up for progressive principles, especially in such an era as the one we're in currently, and in a small mountain town. If I'm ever back in Crested Butte, I'll definitely be sure to return and see what else calls my name and try Rumors next door; the line stayed long all while I was browsing so I opted to skip this time. A feel-good shopping experience, 11/10! (Thanks Danica as well for entertaining my idle chatter and many questions!)

One of my favorite things about browsing local bookstores is finding books you wouldn't necessarily come across at a larger retailer, and this place has some great selections.
