But I have to say this establishment was very clean and spacious and nicely displayed. Staff were friendly and helpful. A lot has changed from over 25 years ago and we had some giggles and oh my gods! I saw a lot of things I did not know existed. I noticed that the name Lions Den was on a lot of the merchandise and I asked if this was a chain. I was told there are over 50 in the U.S. they even have a rewards club card...lol. I thought the items were pricy but like I said, I have nothing to compare to. Now a days everything seems expensive.

We were laughing amongst ourselves because we were slightly embarrassed to be purchasing these things. One of the employees approached us and whispered that laughing and speaking loudly can be kink shaming to those around you and that another customer was giving us a dirty look. This comment made us feel ashamed to be openly discussing the item we wanted to buy. After this employee very quietly whispered that, they then proceeded to speak at normal volume and ask if we had any questions... this gave us a very poor experience. We were not paying attention to any of the other customers in the store, and we had no intention of kink shaming anyone at all.
