The servers at the refreshment stand appeared to be standing around and chatting rather than actually helping tjeir colleagues We did appreciate the lady who prepared our food. Fries hot and crisp and the burger perfect. We really enjoyed this. Once at our seats we loved the movie. The seats were nice and had plenty of room. The picture and sound was spot on and we had a good time The bad In the age of streaming with cinemas fighting for survival with the movie industry this was hard to be quiet on. The lobby was a complete mess. Every flat surface was dirty, sticky or had trash on it. Then to make it worse the entire time we sat at the only cleanish table to have our lunch a group of employee stood behind the counter commenting on what was on their phones. I was shocked. Sort of. But more saddened by the lack of I give a crap. That mess didn't just happen. It would take time. Which tells me the problem isn't just the little guys behind the counter but with management not doing their jobs.

Let me first start off by saying that I'm usually the kind of guy who despises movie theaters…read morebecause of all the price gouging but that was not the case with the 12th Street Cinema. The 12th Street Cinema only plays movies once an evening on Friday and Saturday, with a matinée and evening viewing on Sunday so tickets usually sell out fast. I was amazed when we walked in the door and it only cost $10 total for my family of 4. That is unheard of with movie theaters today! We then walk to the concession stand where the highest price item was $2 for large popcorn and large pop. I'm pretty sure that most of the workers there are high school kids who volunteer their time for free which is how they keep their prices so low. The entire experience was great from start to finish from the friendly staff, affordable prices and clean theater. My only regret is that I've lived in this town for 3 years and am just now visiting the 12th Street Cinema. I can't wait until our next visit.

There was a loud rattle when bass was high as if something near the screen was loose/broken or the speakers themselves had been blown (this was so distracting and disruptive it almost ruined the whole movie experience) Restrooms: Two of the four sinks had plastic over them stating "out of order" the other functioning sink's hand sensor was ridiculous to try to use. It's hard to imagine a national chain of theaters being accepting of such low standards. What is even harder to imagine is a customer base which would continue to return and pay a premium for a substandard product. It has become a real challenge to justify the cost to see a movie in theaters, especially when the experience is better at home.
