The ONE time I actually saw Dr. Chiu, he was nice and understood my conditions...which no other doctors have. I think he is pretty great!! That's the reason I drive almost 3 hrs just to go to this clinic. I didn't know I wouldn't be seeing him every time, but they have their way of doing things.. and the nurse practitioner seems nice. The lady who reviewed before me is so right though...the staff there-quite a few of them in fact-are so rude!! Especially Robin. She is extremely loud, unprofessional, and should not be working with people at all! I work in a clinic also, and if I talked to patients the way she does...I would instantly lose my job. She asked me TWICE (2 appts in a row)to come in earlier than my scheduled time. I schedule a late afternoon appt so i wont have to miss too much work. TWICE I told her that I live almost 3 hrs away and I could only b there as soon as I can. I NEVER said yes I'll b there early...or I'll b there at any specific time that wasn't my scheduled time. BOTH TIMES she called yelling at me telling me that I agreed to b there way ahead of time and if I didn't get there soon I would have to come back. She was in the room with me when I was taken to the back. Not once did she look at me when she was talking to me, nor was she polite. She had her back to me the entire time. Horrible work ethic/manners. I doubt she gets paid to treat ANYONE that way!! I pay cash to see the dr there...and it's not exactly cheap. I definitely don't pay that kind of money to get bit**ed at by a nurse or whatever she is. Nor do I want to dread a painful 3 hr trip AND A RUDE STAFF!!! I really hope she develops some professional courtesy soon...or she should get a different career. One where she doesn't have to talk to people at all. Maybe a zoo? Or a lab? I have NEVER treated anyone so badly before in my life. Next time..I will NOT bite my tongue. I won't spend money anywhere to get fussed at for ANY REASON!!! On a better note....The girl in check out-Beth-was very sweet while. She even went out of her way to start a quick conversation as she was scheduling my appt. That's what I do with patients during check out...especially if they seem stressed. It's just the decent thing to do..not to mention u get paid to make people's visit comfortable, quick, and thorough. I'm hoping next month when I go back, that it will b a more pleasant visit, or she just won't b there. I really don't know how her attitude/rudeness isn't noticed by her boss, and corrected. I'm sure I'm not the 1st to have an issue with her. I have never given a bad review before...EVER, and this one isn't completely bad...but I have NEVER been so stressed out going to a drs office till now. The trip is difficult enough for me, and causes alot of pain and discomfort. I go through alot to get to those appointments. Not only do I have to make arrangements with work, I have to find someone to drive me bc I cannot drive that distance. On top of that, i have to make arrangements for my daughter n law to have a sitter so her 4 year old isn't stuck in a 5-6 hr trip. I honestly feel like it is worth the trip to see a doctor who actually knows what my condition is...but I don't feel like it is ok to be treated that way for any reason. I've never had to deal with something like this before so I don't even know how to react to her rudeness. I can just hope it isn't that stressful again. read more
