They also have these honey-rum drinks which are SCRUMPTIOUS. There's no other word for it. Made out of organic honey (which they buy from a friend who has a honey bee farm), rum, bitters and an orange slice (think it was an orange? lol), it's just like a dessert. Also recommend their "Perfect Storm" drink. Bartender was awesome and I loved watching him make the drinks. He took his time and made sure that each drink tasted as good as the last one. Got pretty damn crowded later at night so had to wait a while for a single drink but was perfect otherwise. Definitely coming back to this joint.

Most of the beers are American micro craft beers, even some American non-crafts. They run the list of beers on the big screen television sets above the bar, so you know what the ABV and IBU level of the beers are (but not the price.) They had a huge selection of beers, with about a dozen Finnish beers. The beer list was much more expansive in cans and bottles than on draft. They have about ten different beers on draft, with pours ranging from 0.2 CL to 1L. Buy more, get a discount! The venue played rock music, and had one small restroom. It's not a very big bar, with seats surrounding the kegs, which are the best seats in the house because you get samples! They serve Mexican roasted crickets at the bar. Yes, you can eat insects here! The bartender was really friendly, and kept the place in good order. Some ruffians came in looking for trouble, and the bartender instantly took charge and restored order by throwing them out. This bar had the best beer selection I saw in all of Finland! Isn't a TommyKnocker an evil character from a movie?!

I know American beer pretty well and recognized most of the beers in the cooler -- lots from Rogue, Ballast Point, and a few of the bigger US microbreweries, but they had a good selection of small breweries too. Their selection is definitely a reasonable cross section of the scene in the US now, but they didn't have anything extremely fancy or special. You'll have to come visit for that! Good vibe, knowledgeable bartender, & a nice patio out front to enjoy the long summer daylight. Not particularly cheap, but that might just be because I'm used to the prices across the bay in Tallinn!

Without a reservation, we were fortunate to get a table for three and started off with beers. A very nice platter of "Pickles and Cheese" had some interesting things on there that were a great appetizer. Pickled pineapple, sliced cucumber and such. It definitely made me ready for the main course. I chose the ribs and was a little jealous of my friend's choice of the brisket. It was a full rack of ribs, which arrived not quite warm though the fried potatoes on the side were still hot. Perhaps a little overdone, but I have a very high standard for barbecue. Very meaty, lots of food here. An ice cream and cookie dessert was shared. Ice cream was good, the cookie part was interesting. [Review 10102 overall, 1688 of 2018.]

Before I start, I'm a native Texan so I know a thing or two about BBQ -- picky as hell. It's been a home run at B-Smokery both times. If I had to pick, their ribs and coleslaw are my favorite -- plenty of meat on the ribs, and nice vinegar hint to the slaw to give it that acidic kick. This particular night, I had their "small" all-in platter that samples all the meat -- ribs, pulled pork, brisket, and two sides, coleslaw and grilled veggies were my choice. Cornbread included. Everything was delicious. And the "small" portion was super filling. If I had to be critical, the beer selection is fairly limited. But they've expanded the bar selection since the previous time I was here, so at least they're getting there :) I warmly recommend B-Smokery -- go there today, like now, and get your BBQ grub on! Lots of value here with affordable, savory, filling portions. Honest assessment: Best BBQ I've had in Finland.

Me and 8 of my buddies came here, because the kitchen stays open quite late. This young waitress combined two tables, so we could all sit together. Some waitresses hate serving big groups, but this lady was on fire; laid back, cracking jokes and making damn sure no one ran out of beer. However, what really made my night was that delicious burger I had. I think it was called the Open State Burger. Best burger I've had in Finland. My friend had that too and he was trippin' even harder. Crispy bacon, sweet barbeque sauce and I'm assuming that the meat was a perfect blend of unicorn and panda. I'm giving the place a clean slate.

As mentioned in the Finnish reviews, the service here is sub-par (in other words, really bad)…read more Although you wait quite a while in any Finnish restaurant, you will wait for what feels like an eternity at this one. Not only that but their food is NOT good. My "veggie burger" was sloppily sauteed veggies dumped on top of a bun. Inedible, to say the least. So, of course, I had to eat my cousin's food since I was having dinner with family. He had a hamburger which was also incredibly overcooked and just gross. Of course, I come from the land of In-N-Out, Fatburger and Umami Burger (a.k.a Los Angeles) so my standards for a burger are probably a bit different. I got a "mojito" here and it was basically a cup full of ice with 4 sips of "mojito". I'm not exaggerating. The cup was so full of ice, I got no drink. Unless someone else is paying and insist on coming here, I will never go back to this restaurant. Their decor is very nice though and the atmosphere is pretty chill which is why I give it 2 stars instead of 1.
