Upon my return back to full time work, Maddie joined the daycare program at 6 months old, where she remained for full time daycare until she transitioned out for school. We have great memories of King West Daycare as a warm and caring environment, with hands-on, individual care for each child in a small, family-oriented group. The space is safe, clean and welcoming, and each child gets lots of attention and growth, plus outside time at local green spaces. Overall, King West Daycare was a wonderful part of our daughter's early upbringing.

Gloria has been an attentive and loving care provider - she is lime a second mother to him and he absolutely loves his time there (I know this because he asks to go on weekends if we pass by). The 20+ years experience really show. Her play based activities encourage the kids to interact with each other while being given lots of learning and cognitive development time too. They mix in lots of arts and crafts, circle time, outdoor activities and even field trips that are done in conjunction with a local Parent Resources drop in centre (Riverdale Farm, strawberry picking, Centre Island, etc). Weather permitting the kids are out every day. The food is nutritious and adventurous too. It is without question that I would recommend Play 'n Stay to any prospective parents looking for quality home-based care. Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00-6:00, closed holidays and last two weeks of August and December.

Our daughter is excited to go there in the morning and, in the evening, she's had a full and adventurous day. Gloria's great about teaching about sharing and has even started potty training (our daughter is 18 months). The space is completely child oriented, full of stimulating toys and has a cozy sleeping area and kitchen down stairs. My understanding is that it has has been regularly inspected by the ministry and is up to code and that the primary reason why it is not licensed is there is no outdoor play area, which is simply not possible in their current location. However almost every day Gloria takes the kids to various parks, the library, and drop in centers in the neighborhood and regularly takes further excursions including the Riverdale Farm, science center, and strawberry picking. On these outings, Gloria's often meets up with the other Play 'n Stay located near Broadview and Gerrard, which is also owned by Gloria and Sultan and run by Gina. Since we've been there, Gloria has had 5 kids ranging from 9 months to 3 years. This has been a good age-mix for our daughter as it's like a big family where the bigger kids stimulate and interact with the younger ones. Gloria regularly does circle time with singing, activities, and art. She gives them nutritious hot breakfast and lunch and plenty of snacks with fruits and veggies. In the evenings she gives us an update on the naps, bowel movements, and eating and generally how they has gone. When we're concerned about our daughter--if she's feeling under the weather or otherwise--we can text and get prompt responses through out the day. We feel close with the families of the Play 'n Stay, and we feel fortunate to be part of this tight community. We regularly meet them at the parks and farmers markets in the evenings or on the weekends and we communicate over email about important issues relating to raising our kids. It's hard to describe how reassuring it is to know how much love and care Gloria has for our our daughter and the rest of the kids at Play 'n Stay. She and Sultan work incredibly hard to provide a truly wonderful environment and big extended family for our daughter.

I have been coming here with my little ones (infants) for over 5 months now. Here are some reasons this place impresses me so much: -brand new location - new furniture, mats; -staff - the regular staff members are very experienced with babies and kids. Trustworthy. Positive people, who are working in a field that suits them well. Some others are adult nursing or early childhood educator students, who are interested in gaining practical experience with all kids. They are all Helpful, and the ones who work there regularly are ALL quite welcoming - to both you and your kids. Genuinely so, it's always seemed; -cleanliness level is high - mats and toys are disinfected regularly. I don't see dust when I visit there. Who doesn't want clean clean clean shining back at you? -welcoming - in how they greet both your kids and you (other parents have noticed this, as well), and also you can help yourself to any tea or coffee (if available) in the nearby kitchen; -circle time - is fun. Songs and rhymes for babies and toddlers; -generous space - one entire room is usually reserved for infants, the other for toddlers; -scent-free place, it seems. Relief! -free workshops (about caring and raising for our children) are offered at this site; -organized. This location has systems in place. A specific place to park and sometimes even lock your stroller. Extra caregivers or staff members are always visible and identified by badges (and by the fact that you'll be approached or offered help); -finally, Support. I'm humbled by how much Support I've received from this place. It's not the closest drop-in to me, but it's got to be my favourite one. I can not rave about this place enough. Non-judgmental, I feel like I can ask them any questions about child-rearing. I feel quite comfortable at this location.

I cannot speak to the quality of the nannies at this point in time because we did not end up following through on their services as another more favorable option popped up but we would not be hesitant to try them in the future when we need it which is the main point. As i owened a company much like this except for senior care at one point in time, I can tell you the value that you're going to get is much above market average but you have to understand the amount of work these agencies do and the kind of customer service and employee issues they end up having as a result of the nature of the business. I would suggest that anyone email them well-formated and thoughtful questions, write down your expectations and ask them to honestly go through and see if they can meet them or ask them to refer you to another place or person who could probably help you out more effectively. I do feel like their system is pretty transparent and if you go in asking the right questions then you'll come out a lot more knowledgeable and will be able to make a better decision for your family.

Nanny Ninja sucks in child care services. Do not trust them at all…read more I am writing this to the parents who are looking for a safe responsible professional source to provide their families' needs particularly their kids. They are not responsible and leave your family unsupported if anything, even health or safety concerns happens to your kids or your family by their unprofessional nannies. As a father of two with the years of experience of managing hundreds of people in several companies across the world and working with many international firms, I strongly believe that Nanny Ninja is the most unprofessional unresponsive company (if we can name it a company) I have ever seen. The nanny they sent us was a horrible experience for my family, particularly for my kids. She did know nothing about taking care of the babies, was lazy, was unprofessional, and most importantly was a LIAR! As a client, even with her unsatisfactory performance we gently paid the wage in full and reported company about the poor performance and our safety/security concerns from the beginning minutes of her work. At the end of the day she was fine to continue her work the next day, but we did not want and informed company about it. Company response expected to be supportive and immediate to replace the nanny and take the responsibility of their commitment to us for providing help in those agreed days. But we not only did not receive a supportive action from them, but company cancelled their agreement without considering the tightness of my family situation based on some false statements. Nanny Ninja as the company who should have been responsible for this mess but was not, made a lot of stress, safety and security concerns for my family. I was seriously concerned particularly as Nanny Ninja owner claimed that they had recently employed this girl and had no enough experience with her! Nanny Ninja! You should be ashamed! You had sent an unprofessional stranger to my family who had hurt my little 12-month-old baby mentally and emotionally but did not take the responsibility of your failure??!!! What do you know about kids' and families" safety, security, peace of mind?? What do you know about professionalism??? Is it your job to protect yourself and your untrustworthy, undeserved nanny but not to protect your client, particularly the health and the safety of their two little kids, from a harmful nanny???? Shameful! That amount of placement fee that you have refunded, which you should have to, because you did not deliver your service does not compensate the level of stress, pressure and concerns you imposed to my family. We always reserve the right to complaint against Ninja Nanny for their poor, untrustworthy and fake service.
