We chose her to document our wedding in April 2026 and the process from first email to wedding day was so smooth. She heard our vision she followed all requests we had and she delivered x10! Bon reached out to me for a review. I was fair & honest stating I loved the end product of our pictures but the customer service wasn't the best. Instead of looking at my review as feedback, she took offense, removed all of our photos online & blocked me. She then used Yelp as an opportunity to place blame on the client. There were moments where she seemed to be projecting her anxiety onto us which made it hard to take in the moment. She delivered images with random objects and people in the background which is pretty consistent with another brides review. If you're a couple who values the experience and or someone who values a Photographer with attention to detail keep this in mind. To address the comments made by the Business Owner, we were on time, we did not bring a crate for our dog as we made it clear that we wanted our dog in the photos. I did request to have a few shots taken on my personal camera but there was never a conversation about this accommodation being in lieu of detail shots. I made my bouquet from scratch and she opted not to use them in the photos because it didn't fit her "moody" aesthetic. Most of her attentiveness went to the groom. As another bride mentioned in her review, most Wedding Photographers understand the bride's experience is the priority and it seemed like most of her focus surrounded on doing what she pleased. Miscommunication could have been avoided if she were open to accepting consultations for "Elopements," but as she mentioned, she reserves consults for traditional weddings. In handing my camera over to her team, they misplaced my SD card so to accommodate the mishap her team was kind enough to hike the trail to relocate it. Unfortunately the SD card was never found but it was no big deal. I did describe my experience with the Officiant over at Earth Elopements as perfect but this was related to our ceremony & our positive experience working with Miss Patricia. Patricia helped plan our day & mentioned she knew of a few photographers which is how we found Bon. I'd like to take the time to acknowledge that her assistant Beacon did take the time to share some cool tricks with me & walked me through some hacks related to camera settings. Beacon even took the time to craft a fun video for us to post after the shoot which was a saving grace for the experience. Seperately, Bon did share some helpful tips with me regarding posing but that doesn't take away from my general experience of feeling lack of care for the customer. I felt ignored/disregarded as the bride which shown through as she couldn't remember my name despite me correcting her numerous times throughout the experience. read more

Bonnie did my photos for my wedding. The photos turned out beautifully. I wasn't entirely thrilled with her professionalism but I will try to leave a fair and considerate review. I had spoken to Bonnie 2x at length prior to my wedding -she was a huge help when i put together my schedule and offering great advice and helping me work through planning the day of. I had a huge wedding party, including 9 bridesmaids, 5 groomsmen and 6 flower girls and 3 ring bearers. During our phone call Bonnie and I together decided on the phone that she wouldn't do the groomsmen photos because we wouldn't have time with the late sunset. She and I also decided instead that i would have my fiancé go to Goldwater lake and see if doing our 1st look photos there was feasible given crowds etc. WE decided that Bonnie would start at the Airbnb where my bridesmaids and I were getting ready. Skip the groomsmen photos cause let's be honest- no one cares about the groomsmen! After those phone calls, I sent Bonnie two emails with the full wedding schedule, I never received a confirming email or message from Bonnie so on the day of I texted her, to say hey see you at 2:30 and I should have reminded her of the Airbnb address but i didn't and i take the blame for that. So at 2:30 i received a text saying Bonnie was at the venue getting the groomsmen photos, I immediately replied and said "wrong location please meet me here." I didn't receive a reply but I waited, the venue was only 3 minutes away-i waited 15 and then called and she said she was heading to the lake, i said "NOoooo not the lake, bridal party first and I'm not dressed cause I was waiting for her to do those photos with my mom." I don't understand at all a wedding photographer that doesn't understand the bride and the bridal party are the priority, even if she didn't realize her mistake shouldn't she have realized she had no photos of the bride? I'm not sure what happened next, I got a lot frustrated and said "don't go to the lake! Follow the schedule I sent you", I am sure I was a little rude as we were already 30 minutes late on my schedule. I can't say for sure she hung up on me, she could have lost connection at the lake. But from my perspective it seemed as though she hung up on me. I tried calling her back 5x immediately and then i was so angry i almost ruined my makeup with tears so i handed my phone off to my MOH and she eventually got hold of Bonnie and rerouted the first look. Now 45 minutes late. She at no point apologized for mucking up my wedding day schedule beginning to end. She never apologized for hanging up on me or being rude to me on my wedding day as a pandemic bride. She didn't stay longer, get my photos to me faster or try to compensate for her blunder in any way. I had a really hard time working with her the rest of the day because I was still angry and That really eroded our communication because every time I spoke to her I could feel anger and tears welling up. I think that affected my photos for sure. The pictures she got are good, great even. But I don't feel like I got a beauty shot of me, I don't feel I got a good one of my mom and I, and I didn't get a good one of me and my bridesmaids. I will say that, Bonnie was great at offering direction to us on how to stand and hold each other that was appreciated. What She didn't do as well at avoiding annoying background things. There's some garbage cans in our first look i think she should have cropped, or a car in the background she could have asked someone to move. Or random people in the background i wish she had asked to move. Or she got all the photos of the back of My dress with it unbuttoned, how did she not She didn't get any of one of my ring bearers, got confused and shot a friend not a bridesmaid and skipped my sister in individual shots. All in all, I would say that Bonnie is an incredible photographer. I think that what she does with lights and shading and color is absolutely phenomenal. She is very good she gave me a lot of help in planning everything and I really appreciate that especially with the schedule. However if you were planning a wedding with lots of moving parts wedding I would not say she is the best photographer for that wedding. I think she is amazing at middle of nowhere Sedona elopements, small weddings, baby photos etc. I would not recommend her for a wedding like mine. She gave kind of a flaky and flighty impression like she had no idea what was going on even though i thought i had gone to painstaking length to explain everything in detail. I lost my job because of Covid halfway through wedding planning, I could have canceled Bonnie, saved $400 after loosing the deposit and had a videographer as well- but i made cuts to other places in my wedding because her talent. In retrospect, maybe not my best decision. that's all I'm saying. So great photos, but she kind of ruined my wedding day so that sucks.... read more

My wife and I highly recommend working with Bon to capture life's most memorable milestones. I booked Bon as my photographer to propose to my girlfriend (now fiancee) as a surprise at the top of Devil's Bridge. Bon got to the bridge before me, as planned, and it was completely iced over and the bridge was inaccessible. I met Bon at a Wedding Expo in downtown Phoenix, 2015. My husband and I arrived to the expo, and started our way through. But we quickly realized that we had landed ourselves in a veritable 'bridal meat market'. On our way out we noticed a stunning photo by a photographer that we previously wanted to talk to, but had been packed with too many brides. We walked over and introduced ourselves... to our new photographer. Bon Miller. She was sweet, small town, and INCREDIBLY helpful. Bon began to talk to us and offer help, asking if we had any of our vendors locked down. She asked for my number and started texting me number after number of vendors that work in Sedona whose work she has seen and trusts. It was like talking to an old friend or a hip young aunt. Bon felt like someone we had known for years and just wanted the best for us. There was no sales tactic, and she topped it off by saying to us, "I'm in the business of helping people, whether you choose me as a photographer or not. I just want people to be happy on their special day." She was perfect! We joked around and laughed (very important having someone who will laugh with you rather than stare at you while you"re laughing on your wedding day!) We then asked Bon how to book her services and how much. The cost was MORE than reasonable! We even decided to do an Engagement Session as well. Let me back up. I have even paid for GROUPON DEALS that cost more in the end, because I then had to buy the rights to my photos from them. Bon included the rights with the reasonable price. You don't pay her to take the pictures and then pay her AGAIN for the rights to the photos. Unheard of, and she rocks! It was too good to be true. We hugged, exchanged information and said our goodbyes, confident that we made the PERFECT decision for us. You see, what I didn't say about Bon is that she is multidimensional as a photographer. Her work is unbelievably beautiful outdoors (kind of what she's known for), but she makes indoor shoots sing as well, all because of that special Bon touch. I think that touch is that she REALLY likes her brides and grooms, and that shows. The #1 rule for a photographer we'd hire was they had to take great pics (duh), but #2 was that they had to be someone we get along with well. It's HORRIBLE to have someone on your wedding day that doesn't care about you. Bon is caring, affectionate, flexible, and absolutely authentic and genuine as they come. PERFECT for any special day. We had our first shoot with her in Page, AZ, near Antelope canyon. We had to hike into the canyon a bit to get some amazing photos. Bon gently guided us in the sweetest Bon-sy way. She is such a sweetheart, and totally our style. Bon would get on the floor, in the red sand, and climb on rocks to get the best shot possible. She is AMAZING! Bon threw the idea out that we could finish the day out at Horseshoe canyon. My husband and I were up for anything and excited for whatever suggestion she had. IT WAS BREATHTAKING. We took photos for 45 minutes solid until the sun had gone down. Bon was clicking away and my husband and I did our very best to Ralph Lauren the shit out of those photos. We thanked Bon for all of her hard work, and hugged her for spending such an important day with us. Our wedding day was also exceptional. We hiked to Merry-Go-Round Rock in Sedona, married at the cliffs edge, celebrating with our officiant, Bon and my hairdresser. We had champagne and basically eloped with a 4-hour photo shoot. It was phenomenal. Bon took photos of us, of our rings, the signing of our marriage license. She took candid and posed photos, all of which were absolutely beautiful. When I became pregnant, we decided to do a photo shoot with Bon near Snowbowl in 2017, as the aspen trees that time of year were BEAUTIFUL and golden yellow. We mainly stuck with posed photos, but when we were done, she even gave an impromptu photography lesson to my husband who was interested to learn. At 20 weeks pregnant I was pretty tired, but somehow she made us both look refreshed and beautiful. Lastly, we recently went up for my maternity photos, as I was pregnant with our soon-to-be son. We hiked Courthouse Butte I believe (I could be wrong, I mean I was 9 months pregnant, lol) and had phenomenal photos taken there as well. Again, she was sweet, attentive, caring, and did everything to build me up as I was feeling VERY pregnant (because I was). Bon Miller has captured some of the most amazing experiences in our lives and I could not be more appreciative of her. She is amazing. We started out as clients, and at this point I would call us friends. She is an amazing person to work with, and I highly recommend anyone considering working with her, to give her a call. Bon Miller was pushy, inconsiderate, defensive, and overall ruined our wedding day experience with her terrible attitude. She refused to apologize when I told her that I was upset with her pushy behavior. Because I had to fire her while in my wedding dress, we did not have enough witnesses for our elopement almost 30 minutes before our wedding. Bon acted like a relaxed go with the flow person on the phone, the reality was totally different. We thought she'd be the most pleasant person. we were very wrong. First ,she blocked my husband out of our own driveway by parking her truck sideways then tried to convince him to take photos at a location she preferred and wouldn't let him in the house so he could get dressed. We texted her earlier that the location she chose was difficult to get to and we found a new easier one. She texted saying, "Awesome." After blocking him in, she then came to me as I was getting buttoned up in my wedding dress, stood in front of me and went on talking about other weddings and locations. It was supposed to be a special moment for me and she didn't take a single photo. Instead she pushed her agenda and I had to remind her that we already told her where we wanted to go. She then knocked on my husband's door. She was bothering him again instead of just letting him get dressed. All we wanted was space and a little time to get ready. I wanted to clear the air to let go of feeling upset with her overwhelming and pushy presence. When I told her that I felt like she was pressuring me at a really important special moment, she instantly became defensive & said she felt disrespected that I didn't follow her schedule & got dressed before she could take photos of us. I said I didn't appreciate that she was going tit for tat and asked her to address why she was spending so much time pushing what she wanted to do. She refused to acknowledge that she was trying to push her agenda of getting the photo locations she preferred. I asked her why she didn't take photos as I was getting my dress on. She said" I thought you didn't care." I said I care about everything, it's my wedding day. I had to have my stylist button me and didn't want to make her wait until Bon arrived. But she was there so it didn't make sense why she didn't just take a photo. Bon made a bunch of excuses during our argument and I was shocked by how defensive and unapologetic she was. She accused me of trying to take her profession away from her. She said, " I can't read minds." and I told her "you didn't have to, we texted you exactly what we wanted to do and it's your job to take photos of wedding moments." She said, "You're text was just like the 200 other texts I get." I reminded her that we were her only couple for the entire day. She called me the "1% of brides" and she's used to brides being on a tight schedule. I told her we are early and are not pressuring her at all. It was her pressuring us. I asked her if she could understand my perspective as a bride that I felt pressured during a special moment and that she wasn't respecting our time or request for an easier photo location and she hinted that maybe we wouldn't be able to work well together. I fired her in my wedding gown. We were going to spend a large amount of money for hours of her time, the least she could have done was let us direct where we wanted photos taken and dropped the defensiveness. We honestly believe she only wants to take certain photos in certain locations she's comfortable with for her own portfolio. She is a very self centered vendor. Her soft way of talking doesn't mask her defensive pushy ways. I asked what door is she leaving from and she said with a heavy attitude, "whatever door you want." We're so glad we saved all that money and our photos we took without her are gorgeous. I'm so glad we never took her to our special wedding location. I'm sure her bossy nature would have just ruined things even more. Please avoid this woman at all costs. I would never wish her upon anyone. If you have ideas of your own, expect her to get pushy at the last minute. If you want to do whatever she recommends, maybe you'll like her. She is not as flexible as she pretends to be. We were lucky to find witnesses at the last minute, and we made it to our venue on time even though much of our time was taken up by arguing with her in my dress on our special day. She ruined that special time just before the ceremony. She could have simply said, okay whatever location you like, let's take a photo of you in your dress. It's your day not mine. Don't take the risk on this person ruining your day with her pushy unapologetic attitude. read more
