Bon Marche is a chain of fashion shops for the 'older generation' and as such it features a lot of blouses, underwear, chinos and slacks, sandals and cardigans and skirts. It doesn't really sell occasion wear like in Debenhams it sells more every day wear and comfortable wear. Bon Marche in Barnsley is located in the fairly old fashioned but still very welcoming Alhambra centre, there aren't too many clothes shops in there other than Primark really so it doesn't have too much competition. It is a great little shop and it has lots to offer in terms of well made daywear for the older woman. It also does accessories like shoes, hand bags, belts and a small range of costume jewellery. I like the shop as it has lots of choice, a good range of sizes and the staff are very nice. read more
