Nicholls sell some unusual gifts along with more well known makes and have a wide range of Ainsley china in stock. They also have a fab coffee shop in store which sells healthy lunches ,beautiful freshly made sandwiches and mouth watering cakes,ideal for a relaxing sit down I came home with a lot of Christmas shopping and hopes of returning in the new year.

It's like a mini department store, clothing (not sure if they have mens or kids), some furniture, kitchenware, lots of gifts, womens clothing, jewellery and of course, the cafe. An old relation owns a wonderful hotel in a neighbouring town and she loves to come to Nicholls, both in Aber and in Crick, so that's a good sign. To be honest, I only went because my aunt asked me to take her there for Christmas dinner (she doesn't get one, where she is). I chauffeured, she bought the food. For £8 odd, you got a good plate of food, with separate vegs & potatoes and a gravy boat. Wonderful. And the turkey actually had taste. Yes, amazing. I don't know if it was free range/organic, or just fresh and local but this was stunning. I hate turkey normally, because of it's blandness but this was in a different league. All the accompaniments were also extremely fresh and tasty. They don't advertise as being free range/organic, rather local/fresh (which avoids them having to check suppliers, I guess, but I'd put money on the turkey at least being free range). Bernard, eat your heart out, that's how it SHOULD taste. I hope to be back this year again, with my aunt, for what was the best Christmas Dinner I've had in many a year. Thank you Nicholls. david

This isn't the usual shop I would go to for clothes because of their extortionate prices but I…read morethought I'd give this place a try when there was a sale on. I was pleased to find they sell clothes for ladies aged twenty to forty who have modern lifestyles. I have a keen interest in fashion and after seeing their collections a few times I can see they keep their trends up-to-date. I found out that they spend eighteen weeks every year buying clothing for niche collections and these clothes aren't available online or in department stores. So you can get an individual look, isn't that great? Like I said earlier I avoid places like this because of their high prices and even when this shop had a sale on the prices were still way out of my budget! This is definitely a shop for women who can splash some cash. However, the shop offered a nice and friendly atmosphere and customer service. If I could afford to shop here I would.

Most of the clothes have…read morelasted me for years due to the fact that they are such good quality.So you pay more but you get so much more. Staff are great,so helpful but also good fun.I often pop in when I am in the Country to say hello,even if I don't buy anything.(I live in Spain but go to the UK twice a year to visit Katherine Draisey along with seeing Family) If you haven't been to this Store then please do.At least have a look. The clothes they stock are great for the mature women who wants to dress smart with out paying a fortunre . Today at The Loft I had the good fortune to experience the highest ever level of retail therapy…read more The saleswomen who helped me couldn't have been more helpful. I described the cut I was looking for, and lucky for me they had lots of things cut that way. After trying on a lot of tops, dresses and coats, I ended up with the most amazing coat, made in Germany of all cotton. It is quite fashionable and also functional. It was expensive, but worth every penny. I also got wonderful feeling black leggings, a gorgeous dress from France, some very cool reading glasses and stylish and functional fingerless gloves with leather palms. They also have a home furnishing section, as well as a restaurant which I understand has delicious food. What a find !!!!!! This place is retail therapy at its best for someone who wants clothing with panache, somewhat avant grade, and somewhat bohemian. It might be my favorite all time clothing store!

Couture is the brainchild of Rachael Corrigan, who only recently relocated her designer boutique…read morefrom Swansea to the quaint corner of High Street Arcade. If you're a Pussy Galore lover, then you'll find Couture is definitely worth a hearty browse of its eclectic kaleidoscope dresses, tops and skirts. Black seems to be the only colour in shortage here. With a Yankee Candle ablaze in the corner and no discernible decor , Couture is one of those boutiques where the clothing rightly takes centre stage. Only the ground floor was available for shopping when I stopped by, and Rachel explained that once the massive delivery of A/W stock arrives, the first floor will open as well (this is where the dressing rooms are hiding). I found a few items that'd suit my small-but-strong frame, but overall, Couture's clothing is a bit ostentatious for my liking, although it's evident the pieces are exquisite and well made. Couture indeed. The shop is tiny (much like the quirky dresses you'll see here), but thankfully you're not overcome with that claustrophobic feeling like when browsing other designer boutiques in the city, thanks to the austere interior and absence of unbounded clothing racks.
