I've had a LOT of massages done on my tense AF body. And I will say, the massage here with Chuck was the BEST massage I've ever had. He taught me a few things here and there on what a massage should do and what going REALLY hard against the muscle can actually do (hint: it's the opposite of what you want.) That being said, Chuck CAN go very firm, if you want him to. How I knew this was the best massage was because the next morning I felt SO GOOD. Like my mood was good and my neck (which was my pain point) didn't have any pain or tension which is WILD lemme tell you because it is always tense. He's a little pricier than other massages you'll find in vegas however, I honestly think he's worth it. And I love his philosophy around tipping (which is, the price is the price). I've given many massage places, spas, and individual masseurs a try over the years trying to find someone who can get to those tension spots that are not easy to get with regular massages. Even when requesting firm pressure or deep tissue massages, I often left other places feeling like it was more a "rubdown" than something that would give me more lasting relief. I've been going to Chuck for about 9 months and there's a reason that I've been sticking with him. Firstly, he can and does give actual firm pressure, but it doesn't feel like I'm being massacred. One session I mentioned that my back had been super sore and, oh man, did he go in that day. He's able to deliver a lot of pressure, but, and this brings me to my second point, he's really responsive to both your body and feedback you give him. The pressure never went too far or felt like it would injure me (yes, I've had massages put too much pressure in the wrong place and left in pain for days). During the sessions, Chuck makes friendly conversation with you and makes you feel really comfortable to give him feedback on the massage. Some days, I'm just wanting to shut my brain down for a while, and he picks up on that queue too and it's a chill session. The last point is about price. Is it the cheapest massage in Vegas? No. Do you get what you pay for with Bomb Bodyworks? Absolutely, yes. I've had cheap and way more expensive massages that let me down. I feel that for the quality of massage, personalized care, and the relief you feel walking out, the price of the massage is a complete value. It's also nice that the price is the price; tipping is not a part of it. I feel like Chuck knows the value of his product and simply delivers the best quality every time. I've gotten quite literally hundreds of massages in my life. My massage with Chuck today was easily, and by far the best massage I have ever received. Let's start from the very beginning: Where most therapists will spend maybe 2 minutes (if that) walking through your concerns, Chuck actually took a consultative approach to really understand my needs talk me through what to expect from a barefoot massage. The massage itself: You know when you finish a really good book and you're just staring into space afterwards? I feel kind of like that. The pressure from barefoot massage makes me wonder why I'd wasted so much time and money doing deep tissue. I could feel knots in my body release that I'd long ago given up on. Chuck's flawless technique and communication made it so that not only was the massage perfectly tailored to me, but also not painful at any point. Pricing: As someone who's been to $400+ massages that were good but not great, pricing for the quality here is beyond reasonable. I also love that he doesn't accept tips (although I'd happily give them). It's refreshing to avoid the awkward "how much do I tip?" interaction. I hate to say that I am guilty of being lazy when it comes to writing reviews and I should have written this review months ago (I just finished writing a google review as well). Barefoot massage is something that everyone should experience once in their life. It can deliver a tremendous amount of deep pressure and relief that cannot be delivered by conventional means like with fingers/elbows. The pressure is delivered over a broad area with the foot and it can really get into places to help relieve alot of tension. I have been receiving barefoot massage for over 10 years. Chuck is hands down the best provider I have seen as I have sought out several because I carry a tremendous amount of tension and needs lots of deep pressure. It is shocking to me that Chuck does not have hundreds of reviews. I think some of that is just lack of familiarity with barefoot massage and also probably because there is a massage place or spa around every corner. Who else has spent $100 only to get a terrible subpar massage at some other chain or with a therapist who doesn't listen? You will have no regrets with Chuck. Chuck is a very personable massage therapist that took his time to listen to my concerns and tailored his expertise for an excellent massage. Finding the place: It's part of Sola Salons and when you go in it's on the right hand side. I got a bit confused but it was easy enough to find with the directory. Consultation: Chuck took his time with the consultation. When you book your appointment you answer a few questions and then he reviews the questions with you to make sure nothing has changed since you filled out the form. This helped me because between booking and my appointment I developed a heat rash that wasn't contagious but he also needed to be aware of. I also informed him that I can't have lavender oils because it makes me nauseated and he offered a blend of coconut oil and beeswax. He asked about what my goals were for the massage and if there was anything that he should handle gently. He also set very clear expectations about the massage and gave alternatives for my comfort without being prompted. Massage: It was definitely a first for me to have a massage with the masseuse's feet but he did said that he sanitizes his feet in between clients. I did book the 60 minutes but I do think that I should have booked a longer session but it was definitely calming and so relaxing I fell asleep during the session. I did tell Chuck during the consultation that my back was a point of focus and during the massage he worked it so well that released all the excess tension in my back and it really helped. Overall I do recommend trying Bomb Bodywork, it is definitely a unique customized experience and I would definitely need to go back soon. Chuck is not only experienced and well trained but he's also very passionate about massage and he's always working on improving his skills while ensuring that he can continue to be a massage therapist for as long as he can. I frequently get massages from random places because of heavy lifting, but I have never received such a healing massage in my life. Chucks unique barefoot massage is quite an experience of deep pressure in areas you never thought you had pain. Every step and movement had a purpose and it was the perfect pressure I wanted from a massage. Most massages you get are a temporary 2 hour relief after the massage, and then you start to feel the stiffness again. But after seeing Chuck, I felt relief the entire day! He really makes it a point to communicate with him during the massage to let him know if the pressure is ok, and weird to say but his foot moved like powerful hands, pressing on all the right spots! I'd first like to say, I've never had a massage done with foot work before, but I would absolutely do it again. You can tell Chuck is very thorough in getting to know your body and what it needs. Highly recommend! If you're looking for someone who is capable of doing a massage that is deeper than a deep tissue, Chuck is the one! And if you prefer lighter pressure, he is very willing to adjust for you. Chuck is very skilled and knows exactly what he's doing with every stroke. He understands human anatomy and also used to do personal training so he is very intentional with every stroke. I have booked multiple appointments with him now and he is consistently very attentive to my needs - constantly checking in to make sure I am as comfortable as possible. I had my first massage from Chuck of Bomb Bodyworks yesterday and boy was that the best massage I've ever had. I had many many massages in my life and I do love deep tissue but I have never had any massage like this before. Chuck is very easy to talk to and he asked me things about myself and what pain and stiffness I am feeling so that he know where to concentrate more of the massage at. He made me feel more than comfortable with all of his knowledge and communicates what to expect and to let him know if I need more or less pressure throughout the massage. I love the long deep strokes that he is able to with his feet. He made my stiff neck and shoulder melt which is what I've been suffering from for a while now. He also let me know things to do to stretch and exercise my shoulder to help easy my frozen shoulder. I have never had any massage therapist take the time to give me pointers and actually care about my wellbeing as much as Chuck has given me. It was by far the best massage and I feel great!! Try the Sarga!!!! I was totally blown away with how effective and how relieving my session at Bomb Bodywork was. It was my first time experiencing a deep tissue barefoot massage and it was unlike anything I have experienced previously.. and I've gotten A LOT of massage. I felt like my whole body was wrung out and I felt two inches taller by the time I got off the table. I came while I was in town for work because I've been having issues in my right shoulder and my hip for along time and I figured why not. Chuck helped me out with the pain and tingling I was experiencing in between my shoulder blades, and explained how my rotator cuff muscles were contributing to my discomfort.
