Terrible customer service and bad attitude from the member of staff on duty, I was even advised to go to sports direct for shoes, i tried getting in touch to complain but they cannot be reached by phone or email. I went somewhere else in the end that did a fantastic job, so do not waste your time with this shop.

I don't really know why this company decided to call themselves 'Natterjack'. Seeing as they…read morespecialise in running gear and footwear, I don't really see what use natterjack toads would get from any of this, seeing as they neither run nor wear clothes. Now, if they sold hopping footwear then that'd be another thing all together, but they don't. Name issues aside, Natterjack is a useful place to go if you're looking for specialist advice and equipment related to running. At Natterjack, they sell a good selection of running shoes in a variety of makes, colours and sizes, ensuring you should be able to find a shoe to fit easily. Their staff can also offer you advice on the best footwear for your feet, enabling you to wear the correct footwear for your foot shape. They also sell running clothing and accessories, including drinking bottles, hi-vis safety wear and injury supports, enabling you to be fully kitted out for any activity. Their prices might not be as cheap as some local sports shops, but if you're after some specialist advice and gear then Natterjack is worth checking out.

Simon One is a small store in the Middleton Shopping Centre, in the same store as ISL, but they…read moreremain different shops, despite sharing a space which you can just cut through. They are owned by Loofe's Clothing, who have 4 stores in the Manchester area, which all have different names, this includes two stores in Bury, one in Warrington and this store in Middleton. They have a small range of sports-wear including trainers and football shirts of Manchester's major club, and a club from Trafford, who just share the Manchester half of the name. This store is only quite small, and with the new addition of SportsDirect and a similar store across the way, Branded and an increased number of clothing/fashion shops in Middleton, including a relocated Daniel Christian Menswear, there isn't really a lot here to look at. The staff seem okay, but they don't seem as helpful and as knowledgeable as larger stores, such as Clarks in the shoes department for example. The branding of this store is also a little strange, with the company owning 4 stores but having them all under different names, meaning people probably wouldn't know they are visiting a store owned by Simon One, if the go to a different branch and despite being a well known name to Residents of Middleton, if you ask anyone else, they simply wouldn't have a clue and brand recognition is important to succeed, even if there is only 4 stores in 3 towns, this could increase sales and people wanting to go to stores in the whole brand. Overall, this store over time has been getting worse and worse as the competition has been growing in Middleton and getting better, and better. At one point in time, this store could have got 3 stars but as competition improves, sadly this store doesn't and now compared to the rest of Middleton, unless a major revamp happens it just is another unneeded shop, and sadly deserves a single one star.

Hurley's describes itself as a "family-owned business since 1955, and "the original sportswear shop in Manchester city centre" The store is easy to navigate with clear areas of store for women's and men's fashion, the staff seemed very friendly and helpful, and they were able to answer basic questions. They had a nice selection of designer clothing from many brands including Hugo Boss and Barbour. 4* - A nice selection of fashion if you're lucky enough to find something in your size, this is mainly an "Outlet" store now, so they might not have each item in every size and you do have to root around to find the item you are looking for on the shelving, which can involve touching most items, I understand why many retailers do this but I much prefer being able to see items without having to pick it up to take a closer look.

The store is near to Next and the cinema and you go inside as if you are going to the cinema to get to it. It is next door to Abacus chinese restaraunt and opposite a coffee shop. The outside of Hurley's is very attractive, glitzy, modern, bright and the window displays are inspiring, trendy and up to date. Inside the store is a good size with an area dedicated to the ladies on the left hand side and a mens section to the right. The store is bright, clean, well layed out and the displays are well presented. The ladies section has numerous designer brands including Miss Sixty, Hooch, Bench and Henleys and there is a good shoe section and some bags and fragrances too. The mens section stocks numerous designer brands too and they include Henleys, Bench and Henri Lloyd. The store is large enough for a sales section without cramping the area and is normally well worth a visit. There are fitting rooms and these are a good size, clean and modern. The checkouts are in both sections and are normally well staffed. Staff are very friendly, helpful and efficient, the atmosphere is good. The store is handy for accessing other stores within the development which include.Next, Argos, Tog, Asda, Currys, JD Sports, JJB and a host of others and also eating places eg KFC, McDonalds, Subway and Gregs. A great shop and one of my favourites when someone is treating me to something special, highly recommended.
