When I got there he told me they were having a party that night at Azure and didn't have time to do my hair because people would be there soon and to consider the first visit a "consultation". He said, "That's what we always do here." (he never once said it was a consultation, I've been there before for pretty much the same thing and Todd did my hair amazingly, when he said he would and never had to do a consultation) I live in Meridian, so a courtesy call would have been nice. I would have understood and gone elsewhere. My hair was greenish-blue and I needed it done ASAP because we were leaving for Nevada the next evening. I made an appointment with him for the next morning and he made us put down $100 deposit to "hold my spot". When I handed him my debit card he said, "Oh, good. My rent's due." On my way down there the next morning I sent him a text to let him know I might be a minute late because we were stuck in traffic. He texted me back saying he had a family emergency that had been going on for days and he couldn't keep our appointment. Remember, he had that party the night before and we saw him partying downtown later that night, so I find it hard to believe he had family issues, and if he DID they sure didn't seem important the night before. I was very very sympathetic, even though I didn't believe him, and told him I hoped everything worked out okay. I told him we were heading to Nevada and I'd now be forced to get my hair done down there since he was canceling our appointment. I asked for my deposit back. Taylor refused to give me my $100 deposit back and told me he had already bought product to do my hair, which I found impossible considering we'd left too late the day before for him to buy it that day, and the next day he said he had a family emergency ... so I found it hard to believe he'd bought anything. I asked to see a receipt. He called me "rude" for asking. I continued to be polite and told him I wasn't trying to be rude, but I wanted proof my money was used to buy products for my hair. He continued to call me rude and refused to give my money back even though he had bailed on two appointments. This behavior is BEYOND unprofessional and RUDE. I strongly recommend NOT going to him or giving him ANY money in advance.

I got a Brazilian Blowout and loved how silky my hair was for months, my husband loves to get his nose waxed and get a regular trim and style. I left in tears, and the owner told me to "come back when I was done being hormonal." I am postpartum with PPD and PPA, and this appointment was meant to be my first act of self-care for my 40th birthday. After three appointments and more than nine hours, I did not receive the hair color or haircut that was agreed upon, despite multiple correction attempts. I hadn't had my hair done in nearly a year. I was 2.5 months postpartum, breastfeeding, and turning 40, and decided to treat myself. I brought several reference photos for both color and cut. At every visit, the stylist -- and later the owner -- reviewed the photos and confirmed the goal was achievable. Day 1 (4.5 hours) I left with the opposite color (light, ashy highlights instead of warm/chocolate tones) and a cut that did not match the reference photos. Once home, I noticed the cut was crooked and choppy, with uneven, blunt face-framing pieces. A correction appointment was scheduled. Day 2 Another stylist reviewed my reference photos and again agreed the goal was achievable. Midway through the appointment, my stylist began rushing due to her next client. By the end, my hair was toned so dark that no highlights were visible, essentially returning me to my starting color. There was no time left to fix it, and I was told it would "wash out." I left with damp hair. Day 3 (with owner supervision) Because refunds are not offered, I returned for another correction. The owner reviewed my photos and again agreed on the goal, without raising concerns about red undertones or feasibility. My hair had to be toned three times, and at the end I was told the look was unachievable due to darkness and undertones -- information that was never communicated at the start of the service. The final haircut includes shorter, uneven layers that were not requested and are difficult to style. Most concerning While visibly upset and postpartum, I was told by the owner to "come back when I was done being hormonal." Although she said this was meant in a kind way, it was inappropriate and unprofessional. I arrived calm and clear at each appointment; the distress occurred only after the appointment extended far beyond the expected time and I became physically uncomfortable from breastfeeding. A discount and gift bag were offered, but the service ultimately failed to deliver what was promised, and the interaction crossed a professional boundary. I will not return and cannot recommend this salon.
