My one qualm with this library is the over zealous security lady. As a homeschooler, we frequent many different libraries throughout Spartanburg and Greenville Counties. In addition, we frequented libraries in Florida where we moved from and in all my experiences, I have never had any problems or even noticed the library security officer at the library. In contrast, the security officer at the Middle Tyger library is very aggressive and actually walks around telling people that she is security and to be quiet. If her aggression had only been a one time deal, then I would not bother to include it in this review, but because it happens consistently and has continued over a period of many visits, I cannot give this library as high a rating as I would like too.

Desk to the left with books to the right at a diagonal. Had to print some stuff and was easily accommodated. Kinkos would have charged me $.49 per page, but the library charges only $.10. Plus I don't have to pay to use the computer. The system never seems to be able to print remotely from a laptop, which is a pain, but there are always empty computers to jump on.

The children's section is huge and quite awesome. They check out about 20 books every two weeks and we use them for bedtime stories. During the summer months, when kids are out of school they have story hour and different presentations. Last summer the children's museum in Rutherford came and did a bunch of kid friendly hands on experiments.
