Rules are not strictly followed and it's more of an introduction to basketball. The children seem to be picking up on some of the finer points of the game and a lot of them can shoot a basketball very well. Broome High School has two gyms. A large one for varsity and a smaller one for kids. Very nice to be able to visit this super clean facility.

Brandy did a great job with the classroom instruction, making it fun and most definitely not boring, which I feared it would be! I had Heather for my first behind-the-wheel session, and she was great. She knew how to push me past my fear while also reassuring me. For my next two lessons, I had Melissa, who is just so sweet. They all did a wonderful job at reassuring me, making me feel comfortable, and leading me to be a more confident driver, which I was struggling with. If you're looking to take the next step towards getting on the road, definitely come to Roadrunner!

This was one of eight newly constructed elementary schools in Cherokee County, S.C. all constructed at the same time. They all looked identical. The flagpole out front was where I was swinging around when I heard that President Kennedy had been shot. I still remember each teacher by name and know this building by heart. I'm glad that it's mission is completed and I'm very pleased that it now has a new purpose! This was a nostalgic visit!

The Auto Safe people were friendly, easy to deal with and made this a very good experience for my son Drew. Dan Marsceau was Drew's instructor. I'm not sure how I didn't now about GLA's Annual Really Good, Really Big, Really Cheap Book Sale. This year it was held on August 9 and 10th, 2025 at McAlister Square. This evidently was the 24th year for this event that is held every August along with a ticketed kickoff event. If you are a book person you CANNOT miss this event. Yes, there were a lot of people and it was crazy, but it was so worth it! I was there for two hours. I purchased 3 hardback books for only $5.00. I could have bought a LOT more. (See the map layout for all that was provided.) I intentionally didn't take my own bag because I'm trying to cull down my book collection and I just purchased a Kindle. But...there is just something about a "real" book. Yes, the event was overwhelming and, yes, there were a LOT of people but there were a LOT of books. It definitely earned its title of GLA's Annual Really Good, Really Big, Really Cheap Book Sale. I can't wait to go next year. Next time I'm taking a group of friends, better walking shoes, and a REALLY big bag.

I received a complimentary visit to attend a class when I purchased my new bmw. The complimentary…read morevisit was for me and one guest. The class I attended was the Performance Center Drive and David and Reid were the instructors for the class. The class consisted of a lecture style intro by the instructors, then we got to drive. There was an off road type of course where we drove x5 m60i's. It was fun to drive the x5 and the off road portion of the class was adrenaline inducing for me. I was lowkey afraid, but Reid was a great guide. After the off road course, we drove on the track with David where we got to drive the following vehicles around: z4, i4, m4, m2, and the x4m. My favorite vehicle to drive around the track was hands down the m4, it was a beast to drive. My second favorite was the z4. I would say the x4m was my least favorite surprisingly. My class was split in half, so half of us did the off road portion, half did the track, then we switched off and all met up for the last portion of the class, which was the hot lap. The instructors drove us around in a M4 for the hot lap. I will summarize my experience as pure adrenaline! My boyfriend had the time of his life, me, well I needed more prep for that lol, and the class was early in the morning. All in all, it was a phenomenal experience. I would love to return to try the other classes they offer. You can even take delivery of your new BMW at the performance center, how cool is that?!
