The chicken Parma's were generous servings; the biggest chicken breasts you'll ever need but most importantly they were fresh and succulent. Beautiful thick golden crispy chips and a side salad rounded it out, with not a morsel left on our plates (don't want to over-review a chicken Parma at a pub.. but it was pretty good!!). The garlic prawn pasta was delicious. They didn't skimp on the garlic and it also had a fair share of prawns. There was only one couple dining plus a few regulars at the bar, so can't comment on usual atmosphere (maybe that's it!?) - but the bistro itself was clean, decorated with historic photos of the building and surroundings. Highly recommend for a good quality pub meal! Didn't catch a photo of the menu unfortunately but it had reasonable variety, no surprises.

The new owners have worked hard to refurbish the inside and it looks really clean and smart. It would benefit from some pictures and touches to give the dining room and bar some atmosphere as the decor is very stark and sterile, but as this has only been open a few weeks I'm sure that will come in time. The new owners have made a good solid start on revitalising this iconic space in Mt Beauty. Can't wait to see how they develop it further!

Expecting a screen playing AFL Footy... Nothing! Waited at bar for at least some service and you guessed it! So promptly walked out of there. Please tell me what goes on here?
