You just can't beat Monteith for all-around tire sales and service. Their prices rival the Wal-Mart…read moreauto center, they carry better quality products, and they have awesome services that Wal-Mart doesn't offer (or else they charge for them). Free services from Monteith (with tire purchase): Installation Rotation every set number of miles. All-around friendly and personal service (they've re-seated and inflated my wheelbarrow's tire several times for me at no cost)--they are an old-fashioned, customer-oriented business. I like that. Why go to Wal-Mart for stripped-down service and hidden fees when you can get superior products and outstanding services for the same price (without hidden fees)? I don't know why. So I don't. I shop at Monteith for my tires.

So not having brakes is kind of a big deal, and I needed my vehicle repaired ASAP to continue on with vacation plans. I called around a few other repair shops that were suggested to me, and I got the "I am still trying to fix everything from yesterday' speech and no availability, I eventually got in touch with Monteith's. I sure wish I would have contacted them right from the start! I called, pretty close to opening time. Explained my situation, and was told to come on in. So I braved driving (without my family inside) to get there ASAP. I checked in at the front counter, handed over my keys. Went to use the restroom, and after all done, my van was already being looked at! They have a super comfortable waiting area, wifi, coffee, & someone even announced that there was donut's! In about an hour, and only $67 later, my name was called and I was back safely on the road. I cannot thank Monteith's enough for their professionalism and promptness of getting my van repairs quickly and cost effective. You guys are top notch!

I am very happy to report that I have not had Dave's work on two of my trucks and I could not be more pleased with his excellent service, attention to detail, and very fair pricing. On my first visit I had him overhaul the read axle on my Tahoe which was making noise. He was able to find a good quality used part to keep the costs down. On my second visit I asked him to replace the ring and pinion on gear on my Suburban. When they got inside they found something else wrong and fixed the proper parts instead. They could have easily taken advantage of me. I speaking with Dave on the phone he was always honest and forthright. I truly believe that there is no other four wheel drive service shop around that does better work for such great prices. I speak from experience because I went to another shop and the left my truck with an oil leak in the rear axle. Half way back from Florida I noticed a loud sound and stopped at an auto parts store. I put in two quarts of oil. I found out that even though they had replaced parts in the read axle they had not replaced the oil seals but had instead just reused them to "save money." Granted the repair bill was $2,500! When is the last time you pulled over to check the fluid in your rear axle? This is why the person you select to work on your truck must be trustworthy. I strongly recommend Dave's and would love to speak with anyone that has questions about my experiences there. Keep up the great work Dave.

They called to tell me it was a bad rear driver side wheel-bearing and charged me $400 to fix it. I pick up my vehicle and noticed it's still making the same exact noise. I called Smith Tire. They said to bring it back it so they can make sure they didn't overlook something. I took it back and the guy at the counter said it was something they couldn't fix and I needed to take it somewhere else (without looking at it, how the heck did he know if they missed something or not?!) Now my front end is making a weird grinding noise and it's still making the humming sound that never got fixed. Basically, they didn't fix the issue I took it in for, charged me $400 for something that probably wasn't even bad and possibly caused another issue. I will never take my vehicle there ever again. I use to recommend them all the time. Not anymore! Their customer service and quality of service has gone way down!
