Of course I lost everything I had downloaded onto the DVR only to have the same screen freezing happening midway through a downloaded show just like before. Dish Network was sub par, but this Direct TV is even worse. Seems like they don't care enough to get the two networks to mesh correctly for their customers. Can't wait for the fiber optics to be installed next week. I finally won't need the satellite.

Im glad direct tv had DVR however know that selecting "record first aired only" means nothing because it will record every season of the show and if you delete a recording it will record it again. The sound is all over the place, i have to turn up and down durning shows. Argh so annoying. i am glad i got the dish planted in the ground instead of on my roof i feel it helps with weather interaction. The one thing i was worried about was it going out in bad weather. Well that issues doesn't exist the one time it went out was during a severe storm and it only lasted 10 mins. Update on that...its summertime apparently clouds are an issue, 80 degrees and no signal! Also one channel has been off for a month now all my true crime :( Also you can restart shows and movies thats awesome, however the show will jump about the quality is only good when you record the show. Another issue is you can set your DVR to record a show that you don't actually get so you can look forward to a movie or show only to find out it didn't record. The internet is great and its fast.

I have been a dish customer for around 30 years. I pay the bills via bank online service…read more Apparently, a recent payment was lost in the mail. I did get an invoice with the previous unpaid payment in there, which I paid in full. In a couple days after, the service was discontinued without a notice of the date it will be interrupted, without any call or notice of the specific date of the discontinue of service. I called and was charged $15 to continue the service for a couple more days until they got the new payment. They did not believe me that the payment was on the way; and that is after 30 years of paying without complaining of their increased fees. They treat their customers terribly.

This last week I have reached out both by the Chat site and by phoning several different DISH customer service numbers, both to no avail. The Chat site agent "chatted" briefly about my inquiry as to "when" we might expect the return of these channels then directed me to connect to a technician which would happen after I paid a $5 fee. REALLY ? So I then tried to call several different times to DISH customer service numbers only to get a recording telling me my wait time to talk to a "real" person would be 45 minutes !!!! I could put a "hold call" on which I then would be notified when they could talk to me but both times that NEVER happened !!!!!!! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE !! I just hope I can reach someone to let them know when we CANCEL our DISH non-service ! So many better options available out there.

I had requested that TV services be terminated in June 2022. I returned all of the cable equipment…read more(receivers/DVR) related to the TV service. The company started a new billing cycle on 1-8-2023 and informed me of the charges on 12-12-2023. They included a $78 fee for cable TV services and a $21 charge for TV broadcast fees. I told them that all of the equipment was returned so there should be no TV related charges. They insisted that because they offer TV streaming over the Internet that the charges were legitimate and that they must be paid in full. I refuse to pay for services/rentals/fees that were not rendered and they would not take any action to resolve. Clearly this is criminal in nature. You cannot bill someone knowingly that a service was not rendered and use a hypothetical reason that one "could" use their services over the Internet while refusing to remove the charges. This type of activity is really fit for a RICO (Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act) lawsuit. I have filed a complaint with the Michigan Attorney General. The idea that they could force TV services without equipment to watch TV is absurd. The excuse that one "could" stream their content is absurd and they do not even care.

Charter would not let me change the password to my own email account without having my husband's…read morepermission first because he's the 'account holder'! Seriously. It's 2015! In a similar situation years ago, my husband gave Charter 'authorization' to let me change the account without his permission. We found out today, that the exception to that policy is 'password changing'. Really? And do I follow one step behind him as well? Considering I have ALL of the account information including four digit pin, address, zip, social security, etc., it is NOT a matter of protecting our account for security purposes. That's an insult to even use that as an excuse. They weren't helpful nor were they the least bit interested in resolving our issue. Due to a regulated industry, they continue to get away with horrible customer service and horrible policies. Deregulate them like the phone companies and things will change real fast. Calling Dish and Direct TV next!

Nexcess is literally a 10-star company. I've been in IT for over 20 years now and they have…read moresuperior support when compared to the other 50-75 tech companies I've worked with during my career. I use Nexcess for all of my hosting including WordPress and Magento e-commerce. Magento is an incredibly powerful, robust, but complex e-commerce platform. It requires reliable and fast hosting to work properly. But due to its complexity, it can be very difficult for many companies to use effectively. Nexcess greatly eases the difficulty of running Magento because their support teams are absolutely second to none. The technicians here have a depth and breadth of knowledge that far surpasses virtually any other enterprise host or tech company I've interacted with. I say this coming from having personally been involved in over 100 different e-commerce projects and dozens of Magento 1 & 2 installations. Very recently I worked with Robin Rosson at Nexcess to to resolve a complicated series of DNS and email delivery issues to help one of my client's stores get back online. The request was marked Urgent and I had a response from a high-level engineer within about 30 minutes. The issue was resolved in about two hours. To compare, any other company would have take 24-48 hours and probably would NOT have found the solution to this issue. Robin helped patch in a hot-fix for Magento 2, adjust DNS PTR, SPF, and DKIM records, and helped us get back up rapidly. It is incredibly rare to find people who understand infrastructure to this degree and get a response from them this rapidly. As for the rest of Nexcess: they are affordable, have a fantastic back-office account management portal, vast knowledge-base, and the hosting administration panel always works. The sites are hosted on top-tier hardware and as long as your site is configured properly, it will load very quickly which improves your SEO. I don't understand any of these other reviews. Personally I think they're bogus and probably written by competitors. To summarize if you're going to host Magento, WordPress, or WooCommerce, do yourself a favor and host on Nexcess. Don't try and save a couple of dollars a month, because when that first major problem happens, you'll be glad to be backed up by their team. Well done Robin and thanks again.
