It was just big enough for the tub and toilet. The washcloths were thick and towels adequate. I have stayed at some Hotels where the washcloths were thread thin. The sink area was in the entry way by the door. Toilet paper and Kleenex were almost like tar paper. The bed was just comfortable enough but the pillows sucked. Our second night here I had won a blanket throw at the convention and rolled that up for a pillow. It was more comfortable. Both nights my sheet and mattress pad were pulled off the bed by my head when I woke up. They just would not stay on the mattress. We decided we may just start packing our own tp and Kleenex a d pillow. We stayed here because we were attending a convention next door to the hotel. We travel a lot so we are in a lot of mandated hotels for convention so we can compare. My husband visited the free breakfast area the first morning and reported it was cereal and toast. We usually stay in Hampton Inns when traveling on our own and there is no comparison. I would say Hampton Inn is an 8 with this hotel being a 3. But I know price wise it was $75 Vs $100+ so if your looking for low rates Vs comfort, this is your hotel. The room was very clean and the lobby area inviting and decorated nicely. Carpet is well kept up and looked newer. Our check in was friendly and fast. There wasn't anyone at the front desk when we left at 8 am. But I know that lately the front desk staff are doing everything from laundry to small repairs etc. This hotel is conveniently connected to the bowling alley by a sidewalk. This makes it convenient for going back and forth to a convention at the bowling alley. That sounds a little weird but the bowling alley is high with wings/spaces for conventions, weddings etc. as they also have their own catering. Bottom line, if I were to stay here again I would Bring my own tp, tissue and pillow and soap/shampoo.

Honestly I only stayed here because their prices were reasonable compared to my usually Holliday Inns in town (which for some reason have been crazy high of late). Looks like I may be changing my habits! The room was clean and very spacious. The one I stayed in had a hot tub and a (electric) fireplace. Price included free breakfast delivered from a nearby coffee shop. The food needs to be ordered at night and you pick it up the next morning in lobby. There is a pool and hot tub, but you do have to take a separate elevator to get to it. The hotel itself in interesting. You take one elevator to get to the first 4 floors, another to get to the 5th and, like I said, a 3rd one to get to the pool and adjoining buildings. TV's are nice, but have limited cable. In planning our wedding, she was able to accurately estimate the quantity of alcohol that we needed for our guests, and advise us on when would be the best time to purchase the alcohol to maximize savings. When our champagne order fell through, Melissa scoured the area and actually got us a better price. She is extremely responsive by email. I cannot tell you what a relief it is to be able to trust in Missie's Complete Beverage & Bartending Service and not worry about this aspect of our wedding. This business earns my highest recommendation.

She knew the Pavilion well and is very comfortable working in that space. She served our guests well and we had no issues with over/under serving our guests. She is very helpful with ordering the alcohol, estimates, and is knowledgeable regarding best prices in the Wausau area. On the flip side, there were far more negatives to report. From the beginning she comes off extremely helpful and accommodating. If you choose to hire her, please be very conscientious of what you agree to (whether it's in the contract or not) because she will hold you to it and not allow you to change your mind with ANY details. Her decor is outdated, and just because I did not tell her this in our initial meeting, she refused to hear our requests to take things down (mind you, these were things that did NOT make her job any more difficult). When asked by both my wedding planners (whom she refused to even speak to), my mom, my step mom, my husband's mom, my matron of honor, and countless bridesmaids, to remove the decor that did not match our theme for our event, she refused and was mean, rude, and downright terrible to all of the most important people in my life. My family and bridesmaids had to spend most of Friday and Saturday trying to plead with her to make the decor and bar changes that we wanted. She only responded to me with "Well there's a difference between a bartending service and a bartender." At 11pm, on the day of our wedding, she decides to tell my husband that she is charging us for "damages" to her equipment that was mysteriously packed away already. I can't even begin to tell you how terrible she was to work with and how incredibly discouraging it was to worry about something as silly as decor on my wedding day. She cares more about her pride than making her customers happy which is so very sad and I have no idea how she's still in business. She does not work well collaborating with other vendors so please don't book her for your wedding. Do not book her for any event other than a low-key event otherwise she will find a way to disappoint you.

From the moment I first connected with Randy to check availability, to his gracious and warm greeting at the front door and through to our last good-bye, it was evident that his goal was to make our stay a memorable one. He succeeded in his objective far beyond our already high expectations. The public areas, our room with all the attention to details, not to mention the amazing 3 course healthy and delicious breakfast, all added to a most enjoyable time. There are many reasons people own B&B's. We just came from one the previous evening that was nice, but it was also apparent that money was a driving motivator. Randy is a businessman - and a very good B&B businessman at that - but we were made to feel as though profitability was simply a byproduct of an extra-ordinary stay. This claim is further substantiated by the crazy low rate he charges for his rooms! I hesitated to write this review because I selfishly don't want others to know of this little gem of a place but writing these heartfelt thoughts is the least I can do to show my appreciation for the wonderful night we spent at the Stewart Inn. Thanks, Randy and Sara. WE WILL BE BACK!
