Meryl was also able to adapt my workouts throughout my pregnancy, from incorporating more yoga /stretching to modifying exercises. I really appreciate that she could change up an entire workout on the fly depending on how I was feeling that day. It made it much easier for me to stay active during my pregnancy, even until late in the third trimester. I joined Meryl's Zoom group workout class and it made me remember how WONDERFUL it feels to push my body and build strength. Meryl is an excellent coach; even in a group setting of varying levels Meryl knows exactly how to modify every move so that everyone is pushed appropriately. A few months ago my husband and I started personal training together as well with Meryl and it's really taken our training to the next level. Not only has it boosted our physical fitness but I can tell a difference into our confidence in and out of the gym as well. And my clothes are fitting better, which I am extremely happy about. If you miss a day or two, or even a week, it makes you regret spending a lot of money for a membership. That helps me be consistent, but it isn't always affordable or within my budget. I have recently re-joined after injuring myself likely due to heavy lifting worsened by my job of having to hike daily. I like that most of the trainers are well versed in how to modify the movements and keep it from hurting myself further. I wish that Cedar did more of the training herself because she is top notch. I appreciate trainers looking out for proper form and hope that going here will help me rebuild muscles and stabilizers for me to continue my journey.

Needless to say, his fears regarding CedarFit were misconstrued. The coaches at CedarFit take every care to ensure safety and form. This isn't to say that they go "easy" on you...these coaches will push you to your utmost potential as you evolve towards your fitness goals. Whether those goals are to lose weight, gain muscle, or just get healthy, they provide the tools and motivation to help you do your best. One thing I value more than anything about CedarFit is the community. It is one big happy family. One concern I had before starting was that it would be clicky or that people would be judgemental. You feel welcome and that makes it even easier to get a work-out in... forget the "no judgement zone" - we do need judgement and critique in the right ways, and this gym is just the place for that. I like how I am told if I'm not properly completing an exercise because in the long run you only hurt yourself and waste your time if you aren't. I would recommend this facility to anyone I know. So this review is very biased since I have never tried crossfit anywhere else. But I LOVE IT! The owner and the coaches are super nice and super encouraging. The gym itself is a huge open space with equipment that you can use during open gym sessions. On top of that they have classes and the coaches are very good at correcting postures to make sure you aren't injured while doing strength training. This is not a place where you will run into young meatheads and all they want to do is workout and checkout girls like the ordinary gyms. This is a place where they encourage everyone to come and workout and participate in crossfit. The coaches are incredibly friendly and the atmosphere in the whole crossfit gym is very welcoming. After a month of working out here, I can say I truly enjoy coming here.

She and all her trainers will help you through any stage of workouts. She doesn't want to get you in as her client for a month- she wants you in for a lifetime. Being newer, Cedar is working out getting additional trainers, what times work, and West side clients, all reasonable. I cannot wait for this to be more full-scale with the body care classes and kickboxing. This location did have a hiccup at one point due to flooding from the store next door. Cedar took it all with great stride and moved her workouts to a nearby park showing great flexibility and accommodating her customers. This location is a bit smaller, but still just as great as the other location. A nice bonus is all new equipment. I only hope to soon see more times and classes. I just hope that my budget continues to allow my visits.
