I cannot express enough how much I love Carissa! I booked for a deep massage my first appointment…read morethere and picked her. She gave me THE BEST deep massage I've ever had! I chose to see someone else there once or twice because Carissa is booked up a lot but nobody compares! She is magical and my back knots are gone. I went in for my massage appointment the other day feeling great. No knots left and it was just relaxing. I love how I can have conversation with her and she's so relatable and easy to talk to but when I am super stressed, I can just be silent and she's cool with that too. I signed up for the membership only because of Carissa's incredible skills!

But, I just had my first massage (90mins) at this location, and all I have to say is "Wow!" and I mean that in a good way! I have been a member of ME for @ 10 years now and have been to quite a few different locations, but this one puts them all to shame!!! Great staff - from the front desk staff, to the massage therapist (Jonathan is fabulous), to one of the co-owners (Susan) who make you feel comfortable (almost like family), great atmosphere - from the relaxation room with the delicious flavored/detox water, to the perfectly lit, comfortablly temperatured rooms & massage tables, and even the bathrooms!!! And most importantly a great massage! I am very much looking forward to my monthly massages here! Thank you, ME North Reading!!

So I'm reading the other reviews here, and I'm just not sure we were at the same place? I did do a…read morelast-minute booking. Same day. And when I arrived, a sweet Asian woman came out of one of the rooms. It was a very strange arrangement in the entrance. It almost looks like at one time. It was the entryway of the home that it was in. Things that were weird? She asked me to pay upfront and wanted me to put the tip on there upfront. And I told her I would do the tip afterwards. She looks surprised. When she brought me to have the massage, she brought me downstairs into the basement. There was no light on the stairs, and when we got to the basement room, she had turned on a space heater so I could be worked on. Was it cold in there? Let's just say it wasn't warm. But it wasn't freezing either. I'm just thinking she really doesn't understand massage much. She did just a lot of hand rubbing like a person rubs your back when you're crying, you know? There was no needing of my muscles. And she did keep asking me if the pressure was OK. So I did appreciate that. It just was... Mid. There are too many other places to go that are much better than she. Maybe it was just her? I don't know. I just got a really weird vibe and honestly couldn't wait to get out of there. I wish I was wrong, but it is what it is.

Walked into a Rock n' Roll jamming massage place. (O_O). Facility was very cute and clean. Only…read morewished my massage therapist was a little more experienced in a full body massage and cupping. Love the fact the can take walk in and last minute appts. The owner was very accommodating and very responsive. I walked in in the room and it was very pleasing but a little warm. The music that was playing was radio static rock music which I thought the therapist would change...boy was a wrong. I tried to relax and the music was so distracting that 15 mins into the massage I had to ask the lady to turn off the music. She then said she didn't know how to. So I had to show here how to. (-_O). I also had to tell her several times I would like more pressure on my massage and it still wasn't adequate enough. The cupping session was a joke. She had NO idea how to. She tried to several times suctioning the cup in the air and then putting the cup on my back. The cup kept falling off. She even mentioned that she didn't know why it wasn't working. So again I had to get up exposing myself more than I like and show her she had to put the cup on my back first and then use the suction. I knew when she started suctioning she still was not doing right because of the pressure. When time came, she said oh only one took out the toxin from your body. (That's cuz only one of the 20 cups had the correct pressure). ‍. Another thing that I didn't like was a couple times when I was laying on the massage table, almost bare naked she stepped out of the room to get something and the door remained open. At the end the lady said it will be $150. (0_0). Well like g story short, the owner was very apologetic and said the lady was new and deducted $20. If I'm in the area again I may give it a try again but for now, I will save my money and go elsewhere.

There were two old looking couches that were placed in a weird way that didn't feel welcoming or like it flowed. They had little cubbies with locks to put our stuff in it, rest room facilities thats were clean, but again no spa like zen feeling. The salt room itself was cool. They had tranquil music playing. You walk with booties that they give you because there is salt on the ground. The walks and light fixtures were also covered in salt, and there is a cent that was said to blow Himalayan salt into the room. You go in with your regular clothes, which I thought was strange. I know the benefits cone with inhaling it, but I also thought it gets absorbed in through your pores as well. I have only been to one other salt room at a spa and we were in our robes. After 10 minutes of the salt blowing in, my friend and I felt a difference. It definitely did something, my head personally was feeling fuzzy 20 minutes into it and for about 30 minutes after I left. I didn't feel bad, I'm assuming its from all the salt WI was breathing in. The salt room itself is definitely zen. Interesting experience, I would try a different salt room next time.
