Planet Fitness Otay Ranch is my go to gym!…read more I've been coming to Planet Fitness Otay Ranch for a while now, and honestly, it's one of the cleanest and most welcoming gyms I've been to. First off, the staff is consistently friendly and helpful. From check-in to any questions about equipment, they always greet you with a smile. whether you're a beginner or a regular lifter, you feel comfortable working out here. The facility itself is well maintained. The cardio machines are almost always available, and the strength equipment is organized. I especially appreciate how often I see staff cleaning and restocking sanitizer stations. The locker rooms are also kept clean, which is a huge plus.

This location in Otay Ranch seems to attract a younger crowd, mostly what appears to be the under 20 crowd. I've noticed many of them tend to hang out in groups and occupy equipment without actively working out, which makes it difficult for those who are there to exercise seriously and causes unnecessary wait times. I understand the membership is inexpensive, which likely attracts this crowd, but it can be frustrating when you're trying to get an efficient workout in. Glad I just have a monthly membership and was easy to cancel.
