I came here to treat a sudden condition that came occurred to me a few weeks and I am glad I did because the recovery time was a lot quicker. The acupuncturists at the clinic especially Esther and Leema were so compassionate and patient in treating my case. The receptionist Mary had also been a pleasure dealing with as she makes it welcoming when you walk in each time with her smile and greeting. I would highly recommend coming here if you have any health ailments that you need special care or attention to. They offer acupuncture, massage therapy, psychotherapy and many more! The only thing that I must comment is that the parking is a hassle here, the lot is always full and you literally have to drive in circles or wait 5-10 mins for a spot so be prepared since the plaza is shared with other businesses.

This is my go-to place for my monthly massages because I absolutely love it!…read more I am someone who works a desk job, do not take as many breaks as I should, and some days I feel like I'm carrying all the world's problems. This brings me to why I max out on my massage benefits every year. Aches Away is great especially for their No Frills massages. I can appreciate a relaxing massage with essential oils and spa-type flair, but after about 30 mins I'm a bit bored. The No Frills massage is just that - go in and cater to your needs. Amy is my go-to RMT. I have tried their RMTs, but Amy is brilliant for me because she provides deep-tissue massage and hits pressure points. If I am honest, it hurt quite a lot in the beginning but in the best way. I felt renewed after. Since it is downtown, I typically walk or bike because parking can be a pain. The building is right outside of College station, which is quite convenient.

It took a while to book my initial appointment, but it was worth it. All I want is to get my back cracked, I got that and more. In our first consultation, he checked my mobility and movement and assessed that I have a mild form of mechanical pain. He created a treatment plan of 5 sessions and included exercises that would help develop my core to prevent injury during sport/workouts and improve my posture. He went beyond that by providing a brief high-pressure targeted deep massage at the beginning of the first and each subsequent session. I wouldn't say it's relaxing, but I love the pressure. He'll adjust based on your tolerance though my motto is no pain, no gain, so I take it full on. We worked mainly on my upper, lower and mid-back. *TIP* If you want to work on your back, wear a tank top instead of a strappy sports bra. I've been working on those three exercises he taught me each day. I would say they are easy enough to add to your routine and incorporate daily. Oh and it's always wonderful when a clinic charges directly to my insurance, saves all the pain of admin work.

I came to Wuji Xuan after seeing several other practitioners of various Eastern and Western medical…read moretraditions over the last three years for an elusive chronic condition. Despite their efforts, none had been able to improve the issue, and some made it worse. Zac's results-driven approach alongside his eclectic training has proved to be very beneficial on many levels, with my health and beyond. He is very good at meeting patients where they are at, and an intuitive gauge of personality. I picked up on this attribute by listening to many of his interviews and lectures before deciding to try him out for myself. I'm sure like many others that have ended up working with him, I came to Wuji Xuan essentially as a last resort, and now really wish I had come sooner! Zac's mastery of many healing modalities and spiritual disciplines is almost as impressive as how seamlessly he engages them in practice. His approach has a tangible authenticity that never strays into a new-age-y confusion. Herein lies the strength of his ability to heal others, because he can skillfully and quite naturally call upon particular modes to meet the needs of the moment. Moreover, he somehow integrates everything in a clear, direct manner that the patient can understand in the end. Again, with his emphasis on results, I find Zac's multifaceted approach to be an expedited path of healing. And mind you, all of my sessions have been conducted remotely. Very effective. It's also a generous way to conduct business, since he doesn't dilly dally in an attempt to get as many sessions out of his patients as possible. He wants to get straight to the point and see patients improve quickly. 11 out of 10 would recommend Dr. Zachary Lui to anyone seeking help with their health and wellbeing, and also for anyone curious about the intersection of spirituality and the healing arts. Great experience! I…read morewas specifically looking for somewhere that offered IMS (intramuscular stimulation) which is a type of dry needling. I'd had really good results with the technique previously and wanted to try it on my tight calves. A Facebook friend mentioned being treated here so I did a bit of investigating. They're really quick to answer emails and very helpful! It took a while to organise an appointment-a mixture of them being busy and me having to work. When we managed to coordinate schedules, it was really easy. I was allowed to book by email and got a time that suited me! The space is really lovely. It's all open in the centre with lots of light and shiny wood floors. Individual treatment rooms are off to the side which was really nice. Can't say I love going to physio and being in a row of beds as if it's an old style ward. I like my privacy! Especially when I'm paying for it. My reception was friendly and I was given the usual intake forms and then it was just a short wait before my physio arrived. I had Carl who was fabulous. Really friendly, very thorough and excellent clinically. He picked up on stuff without me telling him which is always a good sign. He also didn't just look at my calves-he was more holistic and system-based which I also liked. There were moments when I didn't completely love him (like when he was putting needles into my chronically tight muscles) but overall I have only praise for him! I particularly liked it that he didn't try to book me in for more sessions. It was left open-ended...I can go back if I need to. I don't like being stuck going back forever and ever. Rates are pretty standard I think. It's $110 for the first session which is stated to be 45 minutes. I think it was at least that if not slightly longer. Follow-ups are $60 for 20 minutes and $70 for 30 mins. I think most places are that expensive though. And I escaped with a one-off. Think my calves feel better. Despite disregarding all the post-procedure advice. Sorry Carl!

At worst the nerve was compressed so bad that my left arm was completely numb at times and I was fearing that I may get permanent nerve damage. Dana assured me this is not a big problem and totally fixable and she was correct. After just 4 sessions, I feel like I've improved 80-90% from my initial condition. Earlier I was told elsewhere that my vertebrae in my neck has wear and tear and that the nerve is pinched between the two bones that are grinding. Dana disagreed with this diagnosis and told me that the pinching is caused by soft tissue around the vertebrae being too tight and that my spine seems fine - and she's absolutely right. By loosening up my muscles, I feel completely different already. I'm not familiar with physiotherapy as this is my first time requiring it but based on my experience I would highly recommend Adelaide Physiotherapy and Dana.
