After stopping in here on a whim today, I understand why it is highly recommended, and there was a line of folks waiting most of the time I was eating. The food is delicious and filling.
I enjoyed an americano coffee while I was waiting for my order. The coffee was just right and piping hot. My fruit plate had unsweetened yogurt, so it wasn't too heavy, along with granola, and just a bit of honey. Everything was fresh and of good quality.
My main dish was the yokito, three tamales, served in an earthenware dish with salsa, crema, cheese, avocado, arugula, and pickled onions. It was hearty and eating it felt so nourishing, like being in my grandma's kitchen. The salsas served on the table weren't needed, but added a perfect kick.
The staff was friendly and attentive. Though they turned tables quickly, it didn't seem pushy or rushed.
