A tree in our front fell over due to a storm. We started looking at our huge redwood in our backyard and it looked like it was leaning. That Monday, a holiday (Columbus Day) I first called Coastal Tree Service who did not answer at all, probably closed for the holiday. Next name that came up on Google was Bob's Tree Service. Bob answered right away and said he was on another job only a few blocks away from me and would come in 15 minutes to look at our tree and give us a free estimate. He spent about 20 minutes at my house looking at the tree and how he would get it down and out of our yard. He said he can give me quotes depending on if we wanted it cut down with a stump left, cut down and stump removal, topped off or trimmed. I told him we wanted it cut down to a stump and was expecting an estimate of $1,200 because our redwood is about 50 high and the trunk would take 2 people to put their arms around it. His estimate was $785. I said yep, we want it scheduled. Bob scheduled it for a few weeks later and said it would be 3 guys there at 8 am. 2 weeks later Bob and 2 guys showed up precisely at 8 am and within 2 hours the tree was down to a stump. They worked so FAST! We are beyond impressed with their work. It didn't even look like anyone had been in our yard or front yard cutting down a 50 foot redwood tree. They are a great crew! They removed 2 HUGE piles of brush, tree limbs, branches and took out 3 very tall palm trees and ground down the stumps all in less than 4 hours. Amazing! Had a dead 50ft Cedar fall on my house during a storm. I called Bob and he returned my call promptly. Within an hour his crew was onsite and chopping it up so I could inspect my roof for damage. He and his crew did a great job cleaning everything up in the rain. If you have an insurance claim, however, Bob's is not setup to take that on so look elsewhere.
