Was recommended by some friends to go here when camping at Otter Springs and while it felt like we were headed to no mans land we were pleasantly surprised to find a welcoming entrance of tiki poles and a small bridge leading into "Bobs place." First they ONLY TAKE CASH! And I can guarantee a bank is very very far away from this place! But it is very reasonable for what kind of fun you're about to have. $35 for four people, $25 for three people six or more it's six dollars a person. The lady at the entrance was very nice and you sign a short waiver. Basically you are on your own if you get hurt. Pretty standard for most places. There is tons of shaded trees and lots and lots of picnic tables with barbecue grills next to almost every table. So pack a cooler full of nonalcoholic drinks and food because they don't sell anything here. And alcohol is extremely prohibited! You get caught with alcohol you might as well kiss your afternoon goodbye. It's a family fun place. Bob is an old dude that sits at the edge of the water with the microphone and his hand and anyone who looks like they don't know what they're doing he is sure to give you some quick direction. The things they have at this place are so much fun if you're into getting your exercise through natural fun play. They have water volleyball, a variety of rope swings at different heights for different comfort levels and abilities and several other fun things. Went to Bob's today and it was amazing. The rope swings are so fun. This place is just a classic, and very fun "waterpark." It was pretty crowded today, but the waits weren't long at all. The rope swings give you a great rush, it felt great. Bob drives around on his golf cart, and he is very nice. Talks to anyone there about the place, and it's really amazing about how it all came about. Parking is $25, and I definitely think it's worth it. There is plenty of parking and grills, so you can cook your own food. There are slides, rope swings, volleyball nets in/out of the water, and a ton more to do. Definitely a great place to go with a lot of friends to just have a good time! read more

This place is so much fun! I definitely recommend coming here! It's not expensive and you can bring your own food, drinks, flotation devices, footballs ect. They also have a volleyball net and the balls are provided for you. My friends and I had a blast. We were a group of 11 from ages 23-30. The water will be cold but its very refreshing. read more

This weekend I went to bobs river place and was blown away by how cool it was!!! It's basically a mini water park on the river with rope swings, slides and jumping planks that lead you into the river! This is located on property owned by a man named Bob (bobs river place) its $25 a car load CASH ONLY. They will not tolerate any alcohol and if they suspect any they have the right to search coolers! But you really shouldn't drink because of your safety on the rope swings. There are grills and picnic tables on site for you to cook up your own food. The park is open 11-6pm I believe 7 days a week. Children and adults of all ages are welcome! There are no life guards so parents watch your children! Bob sits in a little area with a mic to keep the rope swingers in check at times. Remember this is at someone's private home so respect it in every aspect.. Pick up your trash and respect bobs rules(watch your language!) From what I was told the directions listed online are a bit off so do your research and maybe call bob! I can't wait to return!!! Love these secret hidden gems! read more

Went here with family the other day and it was definitely worth the 4 hour drive. This place only charges for parking. Has a karaoke area, play areas for small children and loads of heights and rope swings for any skill level. No life guard on duty so be careful but it was an amazing and fun experience! The river is a red color due to the tree sap but it's clean and we didn't see any gators. It does have a current so strong swimmers suggested. They also have a tree to jump from! There are picnic areas with charcoal grills, and propane grills are available for free as well. There is very minimal cell service here and no gas stations or stores nearby so bring food, drinks and make sure your car has gas. Absolutely loads of fun and we are coming back as often as possible! read more

Perfect place to take the family! They have ropes to swing on landing in the river, slides, hammocks, volleyball and a floating tube trail.

To quote a family member, "Floridians are a different breed of people," and I think one could conclude that just by visiting Bob's River Place. We decided to swing by Bob's after stopping in Gainesville on our way to the southern part of Florida for vacation. My expectations were very low, and if it were up to me we would not have visited, but sadly the majority rules and I was not a part of the majority in this case scenario. As we drove up, the vibe that I got was reminiscent of both a Hawaiian luau and a weekend getaway in the woods. There were tiki torches and other such decorations scattered around, and a beach color theme was obvious on all of the structures. Meanwhile, there were lots of trees and picnic tables that reminded me of a campground. The lady at the entrance collected our money to get in and asked us to sign a waiver, and she was very helpful in answering all of our questions for us. After parking we went to the restrooms and dressing rooms to change into our swim trunks, and they were surprisingly clean and cutely designed. The same goes for all of the slides and rope swings. Although they were made from wood and had a very homemade look, it was evidently apparent that a lot of thought went into their construction. There DEFINITELY were some unclean aspects of the place, however. The water, being river water, was very murky and had a slight hint of orange. Furthermore, there was no soap in the restroom, and there were no garbage cans anywhere, so prepare yourself for that ahead of time. Overall, Bob's River Place is definitely a neat place that was much nicer than expected, but it still wasn't quite my cup of tea. read more

This is an amazing place and everyone in Florida should experience it at least once! They have 25$ parking and that's it for fees! They have grills so you can have a cook out! Perfect place for a family weekend or weekday adventure! I will be visiting again soon! read more
