I have been doing all my shopping at the Altavista Walmart since I moved to the area. Today I…read morereturned three items, and I had receipts for all three items. It turned out that two of the items, a quart of Mobil 1 oil and a blow dryer had been purchased over 90 days ago. Neither item had ever been opened. Because the two items have been purchased more than 90 days ago, they made a huge deal out of it and refused to refund my money. The clerks involved seem to get a lot of enjoyment out of turning me away. Then a supervisor came along, lectured me about trying to return some thing that I purchased more than 90 days ago and then magnanimously agreed to refund my money. By the time that happened I was so disgusted I took the two items and left the store. If I had walked in, and said, I Purchased, these two items for cash, and I didn't keep the receipts, they would have gladly refunded my money. This is an example where they should have cheerfully refunded my money, and let me go on my way. I will take the items to the Walmart in Danville, tell them I paid cash for them, and they will cheerfully refund my money. This is what happens when management and supervision has no common sense, and no good judgment. But boil boy do they have the power, and don't you forget it. And just for a point of clarification, the items weren't that far over the 90 day period and were still being sold by the store. Walmart has been so busy raising prices across the entire store that they have lost sight of good customer service. Just to show you, a loaf of great value bread in February 2022 was $.88 today's price is $1.42, and that is a 60% price increase for this item in two years time. Lots of other items across the store have increased by more than 100%, and of course they blame it on inflation. Their claim got debunked by a consumer advocacy group that disclosed that 58% of Walmart price increases were just greedflation. Consumers across America, need to stop spending their harder money at Walmart who is gouging everybody.
