We were on vacation with a lake house on Norris Lake; 400 miles from home with our boat to tow…read moreback. The fuel filter on my '02 Avalanche developed a hairline crack and started leaking. I had limited tools with me and unfortunately couldn't get the fuel line fitting to spin free of the fuel line to swap out the filter. I've owned this truck 10 years and have never had a shop work on it. On the afternoon of 10/15/15, I called Sandefur's and they were able to get me in first thing the next day. I went in, spoke with Wayne and one of his techs and everyone was really friendly. They were able to get the fuel line free in under and hour and swapped in the filter I provided. The rate was FAR better than I would have imagined and I wish I would have just went to them to begin with. Truck made it all the way home with no issues and I ordered the full factory fuel line kit I will swap out this weekend, as both Sandefur's and I agreed they were shot and needed replacement ASAP. These guys far exceeded my expectations. Make sure not to stop at the other Sandefur's location that Google is listing (on N Broad) as they are no longer located there. Also make sure your GPS takes you to Duncan Rd (and NOT Duncan Trail). Waze refused to accept Duncan Rd and took me to Duncan Trail, which is a dirt road 15 minutes from where you want to be.

When I asked for help attaching the trailer to my vehicle, Jack Creech told me "We've been working all morning and we're on our break right now." This is not an acceptable way to speak to paying customers. I had to go out and try to attach the trailer myself. The owner was more concerned about getting on his computer and completing the sale rather than making sure I had the right ball hitch to attach the trailer. I had to refuse to give my credit card until he helped me in order to get the point across. I would NEVER use this location again.

This service center lacks the simplest of knowledge new tires always go in the back, God forbid you request service, out of this service "Service" center. Thermostat, too easy. Wrong size! Service lights lightings on my dash,'form more than six month. Went as far as to read the codes myself, Thermostat! Terrible service, absolutely no knowledge of easiest tasks, lack of management, and a complete rip-off to, the city of Tazwell, Tennesse. FYI Oil filters are to be tight also!

Took my car to Porter`s Tazewell for front brake job. Job completed and paid $85 for front pads…read moreonly. I have receipt in hand that says front brake job. A couple months later, car vibrating from front with burning smell coming from front wheels. Took it back to Porter`s and spoke with manager Tyler. Upon inspection, apparently front pads were not replaced at the previous visit and I was told that the $85 was a brake labor charge. Pads were replaced this time and I was charged an additional $65 for "pads only." Pretty shady in my opinion. I will not go back. They have lost me as a customer. My advice, go elsewhere for service.
