They replaced the Harmonic Balancer, and to do that they had to drop the rack and pinion - showed me where the rack was leaking, and replaced that also. Replaced pan gaskets and sealed up the oil leaks... not just replacing the cover gaskets like old school heads, a major job. All was done quickly and on time. They never did work that they did not discuss with me first and I approved. Their team was very careful with my new paint job. I am very happy with the work done so far. Their prices are fair and may lean a little high, but you GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR here, and that is top level repairs, full transparency on all work, solid advice, and no pressure from them on upselling work.

It made me feel comfortable with his integrity so I got it done there instead of my normal mechanic which I trust but is located in North Hollywood. The car was stuck in Santa Clarita. Fast forward to a couple of years later and my catalytic converter needs to be replaced. AGAIN!!! I drive a lot so it wasn't that much of a shocker to me but it was to my NoHo mechanic. This time, I got the catalytic converter replaced, for the second time, at my NoHo mechanic where he bought the converter new from the dealer. He showed me the box and everything. I asked him if the converter he switched out was brand new or not. He looked at it and said there was no serial number therefore it looked like it was bought in the after market. That is really upsetting to me because after initially spending $1900, I thought I was getting a brand new part but instead I got a used part that didn't last very long. Now, I'm not saying that this place does this but with catalytic converter theft on the rise, it does raise eyebrows at where did they get this "used" catalytic converter. Either way, I am pissed that I spent nearly $2,000 grand for a used part.

When I originally made the appointment, I was told there would be around a $200 diagnostic charge to determine what was wrong with the A/C. They diagnosed a problem with the blower motor and fuse, replaced them, and the A/C was working and blowing cold afterward. My total bill, including an oil change, was almost $800. Three days ago, the A/C stopped cooling and started blowing warm air, although air is still coming out of the vents. I went back today because it has only been two months since the repair. The customer service I received when I returned was terrible. Before even looking at the car, I was told they didn't have time and that I needed to make an appointment. I explained that I had already brought the car to them for the A/C problem only two months ago and showed my receipt. I was then told that because air is still coming out of the vents, the blower motor they replaced is working, so the fact that the air is no longer cold must be "something else." When I asked if they had checked the entire A/C system during the original visit, I was told there was "nothing to check" because the air was cold after they replaced the blower motor. I understand that the blower motor and the components that actually cool the air are different, and I am not claiming that the blower motor they installed has failed. What I don't understand is how I was originally told there would be around a $200 charge to diagnose my A/C problem, but now I'm being told there was "nothing to check" beyond the blower motor because the air happened to be cold at that moment. More than anything, I was disappointed by the way I was treated when I came back. I wasn't demanding a free repair or accusing them of doing anything wrong. I simply expected them to take my concern seriously, especially after spending almost $800 there only two months ago. Instead, I felt dismissed from the moment I arrived. I will be taking my car somewhere else. Regardless of what the new A/C problem turns out to be, I would not return here because of the horrible customer service and also They don't stand behind their work.

I am a 70-year-old woman living on social security benefits and when I realized my much-beloved 2008 Toyota Rav4's brakes were not responding as they should, I gulped deeply, knowing I may not be able to afford the current costs to keep any car running. I posted a Yelp project and watched the responses come in. Some were offensively overpriced and written with an attitude like they didn't want to be bothered. But something about the immediate response from Patrick that was not only polite, but caring and fairly priced (my nephew in San Francisco is a car collector who does his own work and is, fortunately for me, extremely conversant with repair prices on almost all vehicles, classic cars, old cars, new cars etc., and he told me what cost was fair and what was not.) Meeting Patrick led me to believe I had been led there by the "Big G in H" (wink). After being warmly welcomed in Patrick's lovely office, I was led to an equally lovely little waiting room to enjoy an ice-cold water, a TV, and a comfortable chair as I awaited my Uber pick up to drop me back home. I barely arrived home when I received my very fair quote via text (pdf so I could print it out if I wanted), from Patrick. I approved the quote and only about an hour later I was on my way back to pick up the car -- such a short amount of time! I live in Sherman Oaks so coming up here is not a short trip in traffic.
