For example, the kitchen was better equipped than many Airbnb rentals I've stayed at. SS Rentals staff was so professional. We've never piloted a boat that big before. It felt intimidating until Bob walked us thru the process. Even navigating the lock was a piece of cake. The scenery and wildlife was out of this world. I just can't say enough good things about SS Rentals or our experience.

The kids (adult kids) had a great time fishing and we caught a ton of fish. I called a few days before the trip and the very nice lady answered all our questions. The new owner was very accommodating and hands on. He was the guy adding oil to the engines and fueling the boat. Gotta love a hands in owner. Only suggestion is to bring more food and beverages and worms than you think. There isn't any place to stop and pick up needed items. If you have a small fishing boat, bring it! You can catch fish from a houseboat, but it is limited. Bring a Bluetooth speaker. There is a sound system but radio only. You should do this!

JR and Lynne were so helpful in coordinating our trip -- They both were very responsive through email and accommodating for our needs, even when they changed several times! They were even able to pull through on a special request that we had for a closed-bottom tube for my sister, who was pregnant and could not be submerged in the water during the trip. Not to mention that the trip along the river is just gorgeous!! We are not local, but would definitely make the trip back for another trip, and would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone!

Today's experience was the final straw. When I saw how little alcohol was poured into the super cheap Walmart opaque plastic cup of my friends drink, I commented on it to the 18 year old bartender. And she called the owner/ manager over. The owner proceeded to pour the alcohol In His drink out into a tiny one ounce plastic "shot glass" and then flowed the small remainder onto the bar (which she left for me to clean up). She was talking down to us the entire time and saying that she isn't in the business to give away free drinks. Absolutely absurd! A better approach might have been to pretend the customer matters and not try to humiliate them in front of friends and employees! No wonder the place was almost empty at 7:30 pm on a Saturday night of the biggest boating weekend of the year! Won't be back and will make sure everyone I know hear a this story.
