He never makes me feel nervous as I have experienced with another podiatrist. He has a calming way. He truly cares about me & always tells me to call with pain or problems. If surgery is recommended, he does not pressure me to get it scheduled. He lets me decide when I am ready to proceed with surgery. He explains what he is going to do pre & post-op. Like at so many medical practices the office staff can really be a make or break for wanting come back and the office staff at the Walbert Avenue location is truly inept. Due to scheduling issues I had to see a different doctor for the procedure & follow up visits than I saw for the initial consultation. All fine except that doctor does not accept my insurance. Every other doctor in their practice does and I was even told he accepted it but when the EOB came I got a "little surprise". A different person at the Walbert Avenue location also scheduled me at another one of their locations for a follow up visit and at NO TIME was that ever conveyed to me. Imagine my surprise showing up at Walbert Avenue, sitting for fifteen minutes then being told that my appointment was made with the same doctor, at another office location and I was now late for that appointment. The office manager at the other location was apologetic but said that "things like this happen alot from the Walbert staff especially the Saturday staff". Good to know. Hopefully I have no need to ever go back but if I do I will do my best to aviod the Walbert Avenue location as in general terms the office staff, sucks.

Have you ever sat through a timeshare sales presentation? Well, that is exactly what this was like. Lots of copies or articles praising himself and DCA and criticizing us for her having back surgery over 20 years ago. The entire 50 minute evaluation (sales presentation) consisted of scare tactics against surgery or delayed treatment and lots of self-admiration. Finally, after about 40 minutes of high pressure sales tactics and the self-glamorization, he stated the cost would be 10K with 1.2 K covered by our insurance. Then came the final blow for me. Dr. Losagio said... "But This offer is only good for 72 hours". I laughed and said, "Do you sell Time Shares Too?" He replied angriy with, "I guess this meeting is over". I said, "Works for me" and walked out. My wife stayed behind to hear the rest of the sales pitch. He offered 4 payment plans and then told her "Due to the three day holiday you have until noon today to decide. What is truly a shame is that his services may in fact have been able to help my wife. We might have even considered the out of pocket expense to avoid or postpone another surgery. However, once a time limit is placed on making a decision, one has to question not only the tactics but the quality of treatment itself.
