Once upon a time, this was a tiny, insignificant convenience store across the street from the movie…read moretheatre. One day, I noticed the pumps had been torn out and lots of construction was going on. People paid attention. After all, it's the last place to get gas, food and snacks on your journey to elsewhere...or El Dorado Lake. I took plenty of pics, as I am impressed with the Phoenix rising from the ashes. There is even a liquor store built right into it, next door. Now, lots of people are coming in. I like this little store already, but now it stands proud on the East side of El Dorado!

When the transaction was in process, the clerk rang the beer up at a higher price! Upon questioning, the clerk informed me the it was an old price and pointed out a higher price on a display case. I felt that a retailer should honor a marked price in their store so I boycotted Sunny's for eight months! Last week I stopped by the store in hopes of speaking to the manager but instead encountered the same salesman as mentioned in the before indecent. I very calmly tried to communicate with him only to be met with a very agitated and aggressive response. He accused me spending 45 minutes in the cooler and posting an old sign which I had found in the cooler. Both are false accusations!

They carry a wide range of liquors including whiskey, rum, tequila, vodka, and even moonshine! Plus, their beer selection includes favorites like Budweiser, Busch, and Keystone, and they even have a few NOLO options which is a nice touch. What really sets them apart is the customer service. The staff are always helpful and go out of their way to make sure you find what you're looking for. If they don't have it, they'll try to get it in stock for you. That kind of service is rare these days. Highly recommend stopping in if you're nearby--or even making a little trip. Snak Atak is worth it!

They have a lot of small craft wine spritzers and smaller packages of alcohol (like the 375 mL wine and champagne bottles). I find these convenient when I travel solo. Easy to keep in the hotel fridge and a way to have a drink without overdoing it or wasting it. They have tons of wine, in all price points. The the cheapest to the more refined and expensive. Everything from Sauvignon blanc to Cabernet Sauvignon and beyond. Tons of liquor too! Lots of selection! The staff is nice and helpful too. Prices are very reasonable.
