Truth be told....I write this with a bit of a tear in my eye....not to get too melodramatic over a…read moreyelp review....but pictures...when done perfect and if your in a particular sentimental mood....can have that effect. Some backstory...Imagix/Michelle has done our yearly photos for our son from ages 1 to now 5. (See my past reviews). From somehow capturing a perfect moment from our perpetually moving blur of a son (ages 1-3) to patiently instructing four 70/80 year olds on how to hold their aforementioned 4 year old Tasmanian Devil grandson last year, Michelle is a magician/artist...I always leave the photoshoot stressed from the chaos Hurricane Daniel (our son) leaves in his wake....But every year we come back to look at the proofs and are amazed at Michelle ability to capture "lighting in a bottle" . This year was no different. Fortunately we survived the terrible 2's (...3's....4's....) and thanks to time, maturity, and the opposite of gentle parenting, our little Daniel, though far from perfect, is manageable. But we didn't want to make it too easy for Michelle, so we threw in another variable. After a recent canine cancer scare, and recently learning from Google that all dogs, however loyal and cute, unfortunately have an inescapable life, span, I somehow convinced my beautiful but camera shy wife that this is the year we do a family photo with our dog. Some more backstory, if you read this far, our Yorkie, Libby, loves us but HATES the rest of the world. She spent the entire hour photoshoot in perpetual scowl and Volume 11 non stop bark. One week later as she always does, lighting in a bottle perfection. I looked at the proofs with amazement. Our son, we expected....she's done it every year, but how she made a loud perpetual yapping bark into a impossibly cute smile is above my skill set. But I think her greatest feat is how she lessened the "he must be rich" looks gap between my wife and I. My wife is easy, even me with my amateur Android skills, it's hard for her to take a bad picture. Michelle mastery came with how she elevated me to "he must be funny" looks gap level. So why the tear? We loved one of the pics so much we purchased a large framed canvas print to hang on our living room wall. My 85 year old happened to be in town for his grandsons 5th bday so I asked him for an helping hand hanging the picture. I figured he has these family portrait hanging at my childhood home. My brother and I with our full head of hair and my mom shoulder pads captured the 90's to a tee...but what I always remember is the "proud" look my dad had on his face. A look of accomplishment shouting "look at me world and all that I love and created". Watching my aging dad struggle, listing to my aging dog bark in a locked room to protect my dad's ankles, I was suddenly reminded that time, as much as you want to hit pause, always moves forward. It's a good idea to stop and smell the roses, or in this case, look at the snapshot/memories/moments and take it all in. After my dad handed me the leveler and I put away the hammer, and I looked up....and yeah....I had that "Dad" look

She'll give you great recommendations and set you up with expections for your photo session. I've used Edna for years and the beautiful memories created of my two children when they were newborns were magical. I wanted a Chinese theme session and both times Edna hit it out the park with the breath taking still photos. To this day I have those images hung up in our Living Room. Those photos are special because as any parent will tell you those moments passes you by and you'll only have these investments of photographs to capture those precious timelines. We've also used Edna for holiday photos. Again, we've gotten many compliments from friends about how great those images were. If you're comparing photographers, don't look too far. Edna is patient, detail oriented, and a true professional. Just look at her work and see for yourself.

Listen, I never thought I was "model" beautiful. My friends put me in a competition as a joke, and…read moreone of the awards was a photo shoot with Marco. Oddly enough, I won. Marco was my very first professional shoot, EVER (as an adult). I was afraid. Self conscious. I had no clue what to do, what to wear, how to act... nothing. Yet, he found a way to make me feel special. He also knows everyone who is someone because he is kind-to-his-core. Whether you're in California or New Mexico or somewhere in-between shooting with him: he knows someone who can help you with hair, make-up, and those folks usually know where all the dope clothing is at. He makes a team around him everywhere he goes because he is gravity!! His prices are worth the outcomes. I've shot with him 4 times in total. One was for my boyfriends-eyes-only, so I will not repost those pictures. His rates vary based on how many outfit changes, location changes, and hours you want. His team of people who help with hair and makeup are a separate cost. However, the reason he gets 5 stars is because he knows how to make you smile, help you get over your ego, your doubt, and brings out the BEAUTY in you. All while insuring you are beyond comfortable-- this is a must when you're near naked in some shoots. The kicker: HE DOESN'T HAVE TO PHOTOSHOP YOU! A good photographer shouldn't have to photoshop you. He knows his lighting, the sunset, his cameras, and will origami himself every shape, up a ladder, around a car, on a busy street, smashed between classic cars all to get the perfect YOU. If by chance he is working with Lucy (hair/MUA) in ABQ, than you're hair/makeup worries will fade away-- and you'll glow!! I never thought I was beautiful till I saw what he saw. Till he flipped the unfiltered photos over to show me, "look see?" His beauty inspires your own inner beauty and I CANNOT wait till his October 2020 trip to New Mexico for the boyfriend and me to do a "Yoko/Lennon" bed inspired shoot d with him. I mean... look at my face in these photos, you can tell he was both directing me while making sure I felt safe, human, and humored! 10/10 everyone should get a photo shoot with him... You'll be shot in beauty, in a moment in time, por vida!!

Over the years I've seen horrible composition, bad focus (usually written off as "soft focus"), and just poor quality. Seriously, I've seen some really bad images from people over the years. This is why when I find someone that really stands out from the crowd, I'll give props where they are due. Marco is one of those guys. Having worked along side of him for multiple years, he's definitely a REAL photographer's photographer. His artist eye, attention to detail, and fine-tuned skill really stands out in a sea of wanna-bes. One of the things that really shies, is his ability to work with models. He's got one of those rare eyes that not only knows how to position someone to capture their best side, but their personality, as well. That's a very rare quality in this industry. Bottom line? I'd hire Marco in a heartbeat, and you should too!

Since this was the first time we both got married, we didn't know much He educated us, he was friendly, his pricing is great, and most importantly, his pictures were breathtaking. He had us visualizing what our pictures would be like. We didn't even consider videography until we met him, and saw it wouldn't take us completely out of budget. He kept us reassured throughout the 1.5 year engagement, which at times was very hectic. Not to his fault, but I wish we could have had more settings in our pictures, but lack of time prevented it. Keep this in mind! The day of, he was timely and took his job seriously. As a non-photogenic couple, he had us pose and instructed our families for some of the best photos our family has ever taken. The only downfall was the issue of receiving the edited photos and the timeline was unclear. I am not sure how much time was spent editing all the photos. However, when we did receive them, we were satisfied. To our surprise, the video was a lot better than we expected. If he didn't spend a lot of time editing, you could tell a lot of time was spent on the video. It was almost an hour long! In summary, I would recommend Carlos to everyone and when there are other events in the future he will be on the top of the list! Let's just say... she absolutely understood the assignment. What I really appreciated was how much class the studio brought to the entire experience. The images were sexy without being too much, elegant without losing that playful and intimate feel. They clearly knew how to highlight her beauty in a tasteful, flattering, and polished way. You can tell this studio knows exactly what they're doing. The photos definitely had plenty of heat, but just as important, my wife seemed comfortable throughout the process, and that showed in the final results. As her husband, I'll just say I probably spent longer admiring the photos than I should admit in a Yelp review. This was absolutely a home run of a birthday gift. If you're looking for a boudoir studio that can create something sexy, polished, and genuinely classy, I would absolutely recommend them. To respect my wife's privacy, I attached AI-generated recreations inspired by the actual shots.
