I had been in hospital for an extended period and was sent to the Copper Creek location to have an ultrasound of my veins due to pain. the technician immediately located blood clots, had me wait while the radiologist read them and they sent me to the Emergency department. Even though there were several patients in the waiting room, I was able to check in right away. I had barely sat down when my name was called. Ten minutes later, I was out the door. Done. That's how long my entire visit took, including at least four x-ray images. This was a very efficient visit, not rushed. The wait time isn't that long and I was able to see the technician in 20 mins for my ultrasound. Farah, my technician was very nice and friendly. She explained what she was doing every step of the way and even let me take a video of the ultrasound for my husband since they only allow one person at a time because of Covid. Lead time was 5 weeks. Whatever it is will be either cured or have killed me. So much for their "short waiting times". People making the money should spend some and help staff handle the volumes. I'm a little hesitant to write a glowing review of this Alpha Laboratories location because it's a…read morehidden gem and I don't want it to get busy, but here goes. Alpha Laboratories opened up here just a couple of years ago when the plaza was developed. There are a lot of parking spots that get filled up quickly, but I've never had a problem finding a spot. The lab is fairly small inside. The waiting room seats several people, but it's not particularly useful since the wait is extremely short. I haven't seen more than 2 others waiting when I come by. When you walk in, they give you a slip with a number on it. On the other side is a sudoku puzzle to help pass the time. How thoughtful. However, I rarely have to wait longer than 10 minutes. This is a huge contrast to some of the more popular labs, like Life Labs. I've been to multiple Life Labs locations in the past and there's always a line out the door and the wait can be an hour or more. The phlebotomists here also work the front desk. They're both skilled and caring. They get the job done quickly. Alpha Labs is my go-to place for blood work because I value my time.
