We got new insurance on 9/23. I called this "girl" and told her, yet today Jim Liufau's office pulled over $155.00 from our bank account (regular monthly payment)-HOWEVER-this insurance had been cancelled. Now I imagine it will get tough requesting a refund, so I say, NEVER go to that office for any reason. So now I am paying for 2 insurance on our vehicles, which I would assume could be unlawful. I had a terrible experience using H&R Block do my taxes. After being assured that this company…read morecould handle federal/state taxes that had military-related deductions/moves, I spent FOUR hours waiting for just my federal return to be completed. I was informed they were unable to complete my state returns due to the complexity and incompatibility of their new technology. While I sat there, my preparer asked her colleagues questions and looked things up in her manual and attempted to fix the computer as her new software malfunctioned multiple times. I was charged an hourly fee, and these unnecessary delays added up to a bill of over $400. If you are going to advertise military-friendly service, it shouldn't come with the caveat of substantial extra cost due to lack of knowledge. Furthermore, after the submission of the federal return, I identified an error which would have resulted in the loss of over $100 in additional return funds. I had to spend additional time and energy correcting this mistake as well as preparing my state returns. After filing a complaint with HR Block Customer Service and calling for updates over a TWO MONTH period, I was finally advised that they could not assist, and I would have to return to the same local office to seek remuneration of any kind for their mistake. I could not be more displeased with the service I have received by this company at all levels. I will not be using H&R Block again and will advise others to avoid using them as well.

They took two weeks with no updates which made me feel like I wasn't a priority to them and the lady that took my paperwork didn't even do the work, she handed it to someone new I suppose who didn't bother to question why there was only a months worth of taxes paid on the house I have resided the whole 2024. I checked and found that there was missing paperwork but they never bother to call me and ask and finished the paperwork anyways. When I asked them about it Kristen said it wasn't on them because I was responsible for giving them all the paperwork needed but I feel like if I have to do all the thinking and find the mistakes then why am I paying them $375 which is what they charged me even though I decided to go elsewhere to file because the paperwork was wrong. I paid because I was not going to argue with her but I thought maybe paying the whole amount was unfair since the job wasn't completed and I had to pay someone else to do it again. At least meeting me halfway on it and accepting some responsibility would have been the right thing to do imo.Anyways I hope they enjoy my hard earned money.
