I've worked for a General Contractor in Austin for 10 years, White Construction Company, and Alamo…read moreCrane has been a great partner of ours for many years. We've used them for all types of jobs (Tower Cranes on tall buildings, large crawler cranes for Tilt Wall panels, etc). They have always been good to work with. Most recently I hired them, in partnership with Bartlett Tree Experts, to dismantle a massive Oak Tree that died and was hovering over a house. Alamo Crane and their salesman Robert Webb, did a great job from start to finish. Finished on time, and most importantly, finished the job safely and with no incidents. I would definitely recommend Alamo for any crane needs.

ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RECOMMEND! We communicated to them that we…read moreneeded them to deliver our tables and bounce house to the park at 12 pm, because the party started at 1. We waited until 12:30 and no one showed up, so I called. No one answered the phone. They showed up exactly 2 minutes before our daughter's party started. We had to rush to setup tables while guests were already there and arriving. The delivery people were rude as well and didn't even have the decency enough to apologize for messing up our daughter's birthday party! Editing my review to debunk the owners lies and false claims. The delivery was supposed to arrive at 12 per my contract, and they arrived at 12:58. They were aware the party was at 1 and it was crucial for them to show up on time. I did not ask the owner to arrive before 12. I don't care about them arriving before 12, because I did not ask them to arrive before 12. I simply asked them to show up at time they were supposed to. It is true. I did not smile at the people who arrived to my daughter's party an hour later. They showed up, were rude and did not apologize for being late. I did not belittle them or name call. The humiliation claim is ridiculous. I was the only one humiliated having to set up my daughter's party 22 minutes after it started. What I said to them was "Thanks for ruining my daughter's birthday. You can't even apologize for it. I don't want to speak to y'all because I'm upset, so you need to address my husband". I think that response was totally justified. To accuse me of name-calling to justify being an hour late to my daughter's party is insane. They had a contract with me to arrive at 12, and did not fulfill that. They have not owned up to messing up and have not tried to fix it. This is extremely unprofessional! I'm also attaching proof of the contract and them loading up the truck after 12 as well.

Everyone was incredibly professional, friendly, and detail-oriented, and the quality of the work was excellent. It's obvious they really know their instruments and take pride in what they do. I initially had my instrument sent to another shop for evaluation, but after speaking with Jason…read moreand being told he was interested in taking on the work, I had it shipped back so he could handle the repair. That meant paying additional return shipping out of pocket just to get it to him. Before drop-off, Jason reviewed photos and quoted the job at around $995 with an estimated turnaround time of about 3 weeks. After that, the experience went downhill. From December through April, I had to repeatedly follow up just to get updates. Communication was almost entirely initiated by me. Early on, I was told things were "looking promising" and that he'd be getting to it soon. Weeks turned into months with little to no progress. At one point, he said he should have more time over Spring Break and expected to finish it within a couple of weeks. That did not happen. After months of waiting, I was finally told there had essentially been no progress and that he would not be able to complete the job due to other commitments. So to summarize: * The job was accepted with a ~3 week estimate * The instrument sat there for several months * Communication was inconsistent and mostly one-sided * The work was never completed * I incurred additional shipping costs based on his willingness to take the job That's not how a business should operate. If you take on a job, you should either complete it in a reasonable timeframe or communicate early and clearly if you can't. Letting something sit for months and then backing out is not acceptable. This cost me time and money that I didn't need to lose. I could have left it with the original shop and had the work completed, but instead I trusted this process and ended up back at square one. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this shop to anyone who values reliability, communication, or follow-through.
