Bought a used car here about two years ago. Would not ever want to do business with them again.
They claimed they'd done a full inspection/service - a lie, a recent service we got independently showed that the (automatic) gearbox hadn't ever had any service at all. The suspension, tie rods and wheel alignment were also in far worse shape than could have been explained by 15'000 km we'd driven ourselves.
They claimed the timing belt had been replaced on schedule (80'000 km, we bought the car at about 92'000) - a lie, it hadn't, as the recent inspection showed. Had it torn, the engine would have been totalled, and no warranty would have applied.
It's a Peugeot/Citroen dealership, we bought a Renault (that someone else had traded in, I suppose). That, however, is no excuse - if they don't want to, can't, or won't service other makes, they should not claim they do. I'm prepared to accept lies-by-omission from a used car salesman, but this was straightforward, in-your-face false statements. Not, of course, written down anywhere. read more
