The owners are delightful and their passion comes through the minute you arrive. There are 35 lakes near the lodge so you have many fishing choices. The office has a full compliment of fishing tackle and a variety of hunting supplies. Additionally there are a variety of souvenir clothing items. The comfortable sleeping accommodations can support small and large groups at a reasonable price. Full kitchens are available as well as grills. The property has endless views, beautiful landscaping and a fire pit! What a great way to get away from it all and experience serenity! I highly recommend this lodge and look forward to my next visit!

This place is incredible! Staff was super friendly and helpful from the moment we checked in, I had…read morenever really stayed at a casino before and they were super helpful explaining things to me like using my personal Sioux Casino member card at the slot machines as well as how to redeem prizes and promotions. The casino itself was so exciting with a large variety of slot machines and video machines to play at as well as several card tables (poker, blackjack, roulette.) There was staff keeping the machines clean at all times as well has bringing me a drink anytime mine got low. Our room was a double queen and it was quite spacious and very clean. The bathroom was large and clean and came stocked full of fresh towels as well as pleanty of quality soaps and shampoo. I got lunch at the deli and the hamburger they made me was phenomenal. Hand pressed patty with fresh vegetables for toppings. I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel and I will certainly be back next time I come through South Dakota.

They serve up great Midwest fare - cheese curds, frybread, steak, burgers, etc. As the only restaurant on Pickerel Lake, this is where we came when our parents didn't feel like cooking supper. Fast forward 15 years and I (along with every child who grew up coming to the lake) could not WAIT until my 21st birthday so that I could officially discover what the Lodge nightlife had to offer. Welp, on weekends, this place is poppin' with locals and visitors alike. They have fun music, a full bar, and great camaraderie. It is definitely all that you want and more when heading to a divey lake bar. Their outside patio has a lovely view of the lake from the south end. Happy hour views? Check! During the weekdays, though, it is pretty quiet! They also have hotel rooms and cabins for rent. This is AMAZING since there really aren't many other rentals on the Pickerel Lake. The hotel and cabins have lake access where you can swim, drop your boat, etc. There are also fire pits on the beach to roast some s'mores. If you want a fun lake getaway and don't have a cabin on this lake, The Lodge is a great place to stay! Nothing super fancy, but all that you need to have a fun week at the lake with loved ones. Last but certainly not least, this is where everyone comes to get gas for their boats, jet skis, etc. All in all, you gotta love the Lodge!

The bedding was washed with something that has a strong fragrance and it gave me a headache. The sheets also had some stains on them, and the pillows were flat. The bathroom was clean. We saw a few different rooms and have noticed that they vary a lot, some have carpet and some do not, some have a tub, etc. I also found some strange specks in the freezer. Overall it could be better, but I've stayed in worse. Three stars only because of the friendly office employees.
