Best marine service in the area. Very knowledgeable and dependable. I have used them to service our different boats for over 20 years.

Sometimes I don't know exactly how to repair something but I tear into it anyway. They have been knowledgeable and willing to share their expertise. Good folks to deal with.

This review is about safety, misrepresentation, and accountability…read more From day one, critical warning signs were dismissed. A red power-steering warning light appeared during the sea trial and was explicitly brushed off by the salesperson. After purchase, the steering intermittently failed--an obvious safety risk. An independent mechanic later discovered severe damage to the steering system, including scorched wiring and a failed pump requiring nearly $7,000 in repairs. I was never provided service records despite requesting them. The boat was also delivered with standing water inside the hull, disabling the bilge system. I found this out during pre-checks and then again on the water. The response from sales was dismissive and unacceptable. Communication failures were constant: * Parts "ready" but missing * Conflicting answers from staff * Wasted trips * No follow-through Escalating to the parent company resulted in a call from the GM telling me it was no longer his issue. This was my first boat purchase outside of kayaks. It has been an expensive and deeply disappointing lesson. I am now pursuing formal remedies.

Gulf Shores Power Sports & Marine - Boat after 5 1/2 weeks at GSPS service department

All communication was initiated by us with each call resulting in a "your boat is next in line" or "your boat should be completed by today". Due to cost we declined the onboard charger - twice. At 5 weeks we informed the service department that we would be picking up our boat the following Wednesday. We called again on Tuesday to remind them. The boat service was not completed - the mister pump had not been installed. The warranty director asked us to give them 15 mins. We came back 30 minutes later. Our boat was filthy. We can only hope the service was done correctly. We will never use this service again and do not recommend them.

When I tried to look in the trunk She said ,oh they locked it but never offered to go get the key. She stood there not saying a word, I sat on it and said "are you guys discounting this since it's a 25 model" she says no we don't discount ,this bike just came in (even though it's February 26 ) someone will want the bike. I would give MarineMax of Gulf Shores a ZERO if I could. First, we are not people to expect…read moresomething for nothing and we don't usually write negative reviews. Quite the opposite. We dropped our Grady White off at Marinemax only to get it back with a cracked cowl. $2000 to replace a cowl. They had had our boat for months for a annual service call and to replace a keel guard they had placed prior which kept falling off. We requested a refund multiple times only to be told that it was my husband's fault it keep falling off because he was loading the boat wrong. Non-sense! My husband has been loading boats for years. In addition, it had been sitting in their lot for months not in the water! After 3-4 attempts to replace the keel guard without it falling off the manager finally shared the the keel guard was defective and refunded us over $1000... which he would not have done unless we were persistent. Finally, after months of it sitting at Marinemax for just annual service and the keel guard replacement we were able to pick our boat up. The next morning my husband went to clean it and found that the motor cowl had been cracked. My husband called and texted (with a picture) the service manager on Saturday, but no return call. With no return call we showed up to show the service manager the cracked cowl Tuesday afternoon. The service technician (not sure of his title) did not look up from his computer as we stood waiting on assistance. My husband finally said we called and we did not hear back from you. Would you come out and take a look at the cracked cowl? He looked at it and said he'd have to get the manager it was above his pay grade. The manager took a look at it and appeared to make no attempt to share that he investigated what happened or would. He just said we didn't do that and you can't prove we broke it. He even accused my husband of backing it into the dock. Non-sense response again. My husband takes great care of his boat and he would have known if it was broken and would have pointed it out. Plus, he had cleaned the boat prior to dropping it off. There was NO crack on the cowl. In addition, they made no call to us to tell us it was broken nor even mentioned the crack when we picked it up (which most companies I have worked with would have called if they saw an issues prior to starting any work... if for nothing else but to protect themselves). Costly mistake picking this company to purchase and then work on our boat.

Bought a place down here and have used them to service my 24' Boston Whaler. On each occasion it has been something. THIS time I had tried to get a quote for a replacement part for over a month. Finally just found it on Amazon. Since we don't live here full time I had them schedule to pick up the boat and bring to the dealership for a full service. That took some time, but after it was done it took weeks to get it brought back. Finally showed up a day after I got to Gulf Shores. The boat had recently been Ceramic coated. Looking it over after they left I found that the boat had been dragged up on the trailer dry and scuffed the hull all over it. They said they would come get it and clean it up. Got them the keys on the next trip back and now a MONTH later I was told it would be best if I brought it in and they could try to get to it. They were short handed! I spent almost 3K and two months with a smile and my boat looks like it was dragged across a parking lot. They want ME to bring it back to them. Last dollar I will spend at MarineMax here. Don't waste your time
