Wow!
I had my first visit to Sophie last Friday for acupuncture. I was thoroughly impressed by her knowledge and techniques, I'e set up a second appointment this week and hope to update you all in a few months with results.
The good
- The intake process is thorough, and she takes only one client at a time so you get her full attention and don't feel rushed. She never answers the phone or texts during (other practitioners take note!)
- Sophie explains what she doing as she performs acupuncture.
- She constantly checks in to ensure your comfortable throughout the procedure.
- She's very knowledgeable, and answers any questions you have.
- She's a lifelong learner, continually working on her skills. She travels yearly to Japan, New York and San Francisco to learn new and upgraded techniques. She will be in NYC in Sept for a facial acupuncture course.
- She's very warm and welcoming, you feel so comfortable with her!
- The needles are tiny and you barely feel anything beyond a prick, but she chats with you throughout the procedure to distract from the pricks.
- I had pain in my right wrist and she showed me exactly how she isolates the corresponding nerves/muscles in the leg to work on the pain.
The bad
- The only thing I can think of is that her office is located in a plaza that might be hard to find for someone not familiar with the area. read more
