I contacted another well know tree service company who came, bragged about himself, gave me a price off the top of his head and then NEVER answered my calls, texts, nor emails for followup. The price he gave me was so low it was ridiculous. Blue Ridge gave me a reasonable competitive price after reviewing what I wanted and what needed to be done. The team of six men, a cherry picker, a HUGE crane, a wood chipper and lots of tools arrive as promised. They started at 8am in a rainy 50 degree morning and worked all day til 4pm with the weather turning sunny and 90 degrees. They never stopped. They asked us our opinions throughout the day and kept us up to date. The final result is more than I could have ever expected. My view is gorgeous. It was awsome to see a 150 year old tree lifted by the crane over the house. Safety was their primary concern, for my property for us and for themselves. Their clean up was impecable, and they were cognizant of my planting which suffered expected smushing. I am extremely satisfied. I highly recommend Blue Ridge Tree Service. We highly recommend the services of Blue Ridge Tree Service. We called upon them to assess the trees at our weekend property at Tanglwood North in Tafton. The trees had not been pruned in the twelve years since our home was built. My husband did a walk-around of the property with Dan. He identified several trees which were damaged, dead or hollow. Some of them were threatening our home, power lines and septic field. They needed to go. Snow and high winds postponed the job a couple of times, but the office was very good at calling us at our home in New Jersey to keep us up-to-date. We were very pleasantly surprised once we made it back up. Our property is now so much neater, sunnier and more open. Very happy with Blue Ridge Tree Service. After changing Home insurance companies, my new company wanted some trees cut down to keep them from possibly falling on the house. I was given a timeline, after which I was going to lose my insurance. After being lied to and forgotten for months by a competitor - to the point that I lost my insurance - I called Blue Ridge. They came and gave me a fair estimate and were honest about their timeline. GOOD WORK = BUSY. But they showed up in a reasonable amount of time. These guys worked beyond what I thought was possible. After a week of 6 degree weather, these guys were out in the wind and cold working on my trees. They worked for about 7 hours straight... no lunch. They cleaned up every step of the way, stacked the wood, and were so polite and nice. They did more than I expected, and were professional in every way and the price was very fair! Second time I have utilized the services of Blue Ridge Tree Services. On February 22, 2019 Dan and his crew of Blue Ridge Tree Services came to my property located in Birchwood Lakes to cut down two trees that were on the edge of collapsing and doing extensive damage on the wiring that runs across my property. On the morning of February 22, 2019 I called Dan to determine whether he could come to cut the trees don on that day and am happy to say that Dan and his crew made themselves available to undertake the work. Dan adeptly maneuvered the boom and at times climbed trees with lasso and chainsaw in hand to safely remove and level the trees that were at a high risk falling. Danny and his crew were an absolute delight to work with, and I highly recommend them. We had a tree through the middle of our deck, which was precariously close to our house, and on a hillside next to a lake, so these guys were working under tough conditions! They were tree ninjas and safely took it down, with little evidence that they were ever there. Every crew member was professional, courteous, and polite. Fast, reliable and affordable! We were looking for a tree cutting company to come and cut down a tree that started leaning towards our home after the last wind storm. We contacted two local companies, the first one took 3 days to get back to us. Blue Ridge answered right away and was literally at our home 15 minutes after the phone call to give us an estimate. The estimate was very reasonable and they even took the wood pile we wanted removed from another tree that was cut and left on our property previously. I rarely write reviews but Blue Ridge tree Services is that good. I called Monday and left a message, and received a return call within an hour. I was provided a very reasonable estimate later the same day for removal of two trees. Two days later they were here as scheduled, despite the inclement weather. The trees were both taken down quickly and safely. They even swept the few remaining wood chips that landed in the road and on my driveway. Everyone I dealt with was pleasant, professional and responsive. This was the second time they did work for me, the first time was seven trees 2 years ago and the results were exactly the same. Everything went smoothly with this job: the office staff person was friendly and responsive to my phone calls and worked with me to try to accommodate my scheduling needs; Dan was also available as needed to answer my specific questions throughout the process. Wow, fantastic job. Went way beyond what I expected and I am picky. They are real tree pros. Not only did they do the work on spec perfectly, they did cleanup and additional fine trimwork I didn't even require, for the same price. Dan was a forester, acted as not only a tree surgeon but as a conservator, only trimming and cutting what was absolutely necessary to preserve my trees and consulted me every step. The team at Blue Ridge Tree Services in Dingmans Ferry, PA, is outstanding. They arrived on time and cut a dangerous 90-foot pine looming over our house, as well as a massive stump. They worked trimming other trees on our property, opening beautiful views of the mountains. They are an amazingly well-run team.
