We booked this tour months ahead of the NYE Sydney 2019 celebrations - I'm adding the date for future guests to realize this was in one of the worst seasons for bushfires in NSW. We weren't sure if our tour would be impacted by the smoke and haze or not. First Paul kept us informed in the time leading up to our tour and even on the morning of the tour, Paul showed up saying he couldn't promise great visibility but he would try his best IF we wanted to go, if not, he totally understood and whatever we decided was fine. We couldn't believe how he much he was willing to work with us. We decided to give it a shot, we didn't have anything else planned it seemed a shame not to try. We are so glad we did. True the smoke did somewhat hamper our visibility but Paul did such a great job taking us to wonderful lookouts that were off the beaten path that we still did get to see some remarkable vistas. It almost looked otherworldly at times with just faint silhouettes of the mountains rising above the smoke. We had seen other visitors photos so felt like we were getting to see the Blue Mountains from a vantage point few others have experienced. Plus Paul taught us many thing about the flora, fauna and Tim Tam Slams along the way. After a super lunch, Paul thought of another place to take us so we could see some other great views in the Royal National Park that were not obscured by the smoke. It was breathtakingly beautiful and just went to show how versatile and fluid the tour could be. Paul really does go all out to make sure you have the best tour possible. He is extremely knowledgeable about a host of different subjects and was so laid back and easy to be around that he was an absolute pleasure to spend time with. Our entire group had a wonderful time. This is a very premium tour for sure. It is a boutique tour and they have very limited availability so make sure you book early. Go ahead and book now before you read the entire review. Seriously it was that good. To start the owner does some of the tours and we were lucky enough to have him do our tour. We were picked up in what looked to be a brand new land rover. The car was super clean and nice. The tour started right away with interesting facts about the area and landmarks on the way to the mountain. We had a one and a half hour drive to the first spot. We veered off the road took the range rover off road for about 15 minutes to a secluded spot where we had snacks and tea and soaked up the scenery. It was very likely some of most breath taking views I have ever seem. It was so nice to be in the wilderness alone. We then went to another half dozen exclusive spots and were blown away with each spot including 3 sisters. The level of detail and planning that goes into this tour is amazing. We went after a rain storm and our guide changed the tour up to showcase the waterfalls. We were so excited to see them. This tour is not a bus tour and is so private and special. The only reason they get 4 and not 5 stars is the fact that the weather impacted on our views. The booking was quick and simple. The Land Rover picked my partner and I from one hotel and our friend up from another. The car was very comfortable. Paul was very knowledgeable on the local plant and wildlife. He tried very hard to get us good viewing points but the weather was against us. They supplied a very scrumptious morning and afternoon tea and the gourmet pies Paul suggested we try were awesome. This is definitely the best way to see the blue mountains as we get to go where other tour buses cannot get to. read more

Paul and Jenny were an absolute pleasure to work with in the planning and execution of our excursion. Having traveled from Los Angeles, we were more than eager to see what the Blue Mountains had to offer, while also hoping to come up on the more well-known things Australia has to offer (Kangaroos in the wild). Paul conducted, in my opinion, the best tour I've ever completed. His knowledge of nature, history, animals and general geography was second to none. He took great care to ask questions each of his passengers to get to know them and provide the best unique experience possible as we departed Sydney. The tour only got better as we stop for morning tea and were instructed on how to enjoy Tim Tams and coffee, and experience that was simply outstanding (I have since we created this experience back in Los Angeles due to his teachings). We proceeded to hike waterfalls, have a tremendous lunch in Leura, and continue to explore the vast beauty of the Blue Mountains from various vantage points. All the while, pollen sure to keep us well-informed, well hydrated, well fed and fully engaged in the scenery at the Blue Mountains and their surrounding area had to offer. Did I mention that Paul was a tremendous photographer? He worked wonders with our host of iPhones to capture some the best scenic photos I've ever seen. Kudos to him again for doing that! The ride back to Sydney show you another opportunity of Paul's wealth of knowledge. It's mostly other passengers of nodded off, we took the time to chat about all kinds of topics been in cars, food, nature, world happenings, etc. Hands-down, the BEST Tour experience I have ever experienced. Carlos took my husband and I on the Blue Mountain Eco Tour. We had one other couple on our tour. We we on our honeymoon while we were in Sydney and during this tour. Carlos made this tour very enjoyable and tried his hardest to fit in as much as possible and carter the tour to our wishes. We were able to fit in the wilderness center, a hike in the blue mountains, he tooks us in a more local spot to see the three sisters (thank goodness bc we drop by the tourist spot and there were mounds of tour buses, I was happy to avoid that) we had a provided sandwich picnic in a spot near the grand canyon (we didnt get he scenic view; not carlos fault though but there was some backburn that caused a lot of smoke and we couldnt see anything) and he took us to the blue mountain botanical gardens. It was a very enjoyable tour. a little pricey but I would say it was worth it. They do pick up and drop of at your hotel which is very nice. read more

We spent a perfect day with Paul creating some amazing memories in a truly remarkable place. It could not have been any better in any way. As we were travelling with our children (6 and 10) we wanted to avoid the big tours, get away from the masses and find a more personalised experience. The extremely comfortable Landrover (complete with booster seat), door to door service, Paul's incredible knowledge, the easy-going nature, superb food, excellent wildlife spotting and the 'pie shop' certainly delivered what we were looking for and perfect for families. Thanks Paul and Jenny for an excellent day - we will remember tea with the kangaroos for many years!
