You have to rely on…read morerain water collected by your roof which drains into and sits in massive cisterns under your home (yuck!). 2017 prior to the hurricanes had been very dry for the island of St. Thomas and that is where Dadlies comes in. If you are running low on water you'll have to give them a call. They deliver any day of the week and will do next day service. Their trucks can hold 5000 gallons of water per run ( which can fill up a smaller cistern) and they are super reliable which is something you need a water company to be out here. Dadlies was also one of the first water hauling companies to start delivering post hurricanes and my husband has had good experiences with them for his company (all around from delivery, customer service, and the paperwork). A lot of trucks were taken out of service for different water delivery services in st. Thomas between the two hurricanes and the fleet of trucks Dadlies still has in service makes it very easy to get water quickly. #St.Thomas #USVI

Upon moving into our new home in USVI, we noticed a panel on the floor of the guest room closet…read more We lifted it and saw a large creepy dark hole with some kind of liquid in it. We were told that that was a very large cistern that supplied the house with water. Gross! My very imaginative mind went to images of the iguanas, roaches and centipedes throwing daily pool parties at the edge of the cistern while doing back flips into our water. We were also told that the water refilled itself when it rained and piped down from the roof. Double Gross! My mind went to spiders and ants coasting down the pipes in inner tubes and on floaty noodles like at a water amusement park! So that was that, the hubby and I decided to never drink or cook with that water. The company to call on this island for filtered water is Chico's distributing. They distribute Le Bleu filtered water and I can't emphasize of how easy this service is to use. Services that work well and consistently on this island are hard to come by. Chico's always does next day delivery and they only charge $2 for a delivery fee. Its $.50 more for deliveries to St. John. Screw trying to haul bottles of water from Kmart home ourselves! Our driveway is a very long steeps 45 degree angle, someone else can navigate all that weight up there! In addition to delivering 5 gallon bottles ($8 each), they also distribute cases of 20 and 10 fl oz. bottles ($13.95 & $12.95 per case) to have when you're on the go. I also love it that they take credit cards. It's seems like a lot of services on this island do not. Deliveries always show up by the quoted delivery time so you're not waiting around wasting the day, and all of the customer service reps that I have spoken to on the phone and delivery drivers have been very pleasant. Chico's also distributes Florida's Natural Juices, Le Bleu Frute, and Mistic Juices, which we haven't tried yet as we don't want to get stuck with a plethora of juice as they only sell by the case. If you live on St. Thomas or if you're here for an extended vacation, look into Chico's. It's a very convenient way to go for your drinking water.

Great experience! I've never been kayaking and my husband did once. I was unnecessarily worried…read moreas I recently hurt my right leg but everything went great! But, you do end up wet. We were shuttled to and from the site by a funny great driver. Once there we were met by two informative guys who led us to our boats. They explained the process, gave us life jackets and oars. They helped us wade to our kayaks in pairs and off we went. One guy led in front, the other stayed in back. We quickly got to a spot and played with the water to trigger the bioluminescence. As the night progressed, the "glow" was better. Movement causes the glow so contrary to some pics, it's not always glowing unless you cause it. Unfortunately we didn't see any fish or turtles. Our guide Jake explained a lot of the history/makeup of the bay. He handled our questions effectively. I didn't get any pictures as they discourage cameras/phones and also say they capturing the images is difficult. I so wish I had gotten a pic of my husband and I either in the kayak or at least with our oars...We were sad it was over-what a great experience!

The prescription snorkling goggles were life changing. On our trip we saw a sea turtle and lots of coral reef activity! This was a highlight of our trip. The Bioluminescent tour was out of this world, our driver JJ was so knowledge and helpful and made the experience all the better. Kayak guides tanner and Jake were helpful and made the tour fun! I loved working with this company, I would give it 100/5 stars, best company on the island!!!!
