Within walking distance to Newbold College and Binfield. Or much further if you are fat and need a longer walk. During my year abroad I worked as bartender and server at Blue Mountain. The profiteroles were outstanding. Their full English breakfast was apparently one of the best around (but I still wasn't happy because everybody knows a full English breakfast doesn't include pancakes or potatoes). A decent beer selection, pinball, conference rooms, etc. I LOVED working weddings because everybody thought my American accent was simply adorable. While I worked here, I became fluent in understanding Cockney and realized how my name is pronounced very similar to the word toilet.

As for golfing here, I haven't the slightest idea. But I CAN verify the greenness of the grass. I was under 21 when I lived in England, and no smart Americans under the age of 21 really play golf in England because they can legally drink, and they don't have any time left for golf. read more
