Love Blue Martini! My favorite part is how there is a large inside as well as large outside area overlooking the boardwalk! The outside area has TVs as well as an outdoor bar. There is also many lounge areas where you can sit and have conversation, as well as the lower indoor area that plays live music most nights! Depending on the day of the week, the outside bar sometimes is not open so keep that in mind! Overall recommend for grabbing a drink in Golden Nugget! It is always pretty busy when I go so you do have to wait a while for drinks as there is typically only 1 or 2 bartenders working behind the inside bar. I have been a mystery shopper for many years, for all different types of companies. I have been providing reviews for companies, in house for the last 10 years. We are all wanting to know that we are getting the best deal for our money these days and that includes an evening out. Most restaurants are short staffed, scaled back hours and raised prices. We had not eaten at Blue Martini in at least 6 months and I learned they were under a new General Manager, Scott Hudson, and I wanted to share our experience. Those visits made under new management are always your most impressionable. Mine began with an email sent to the General Manager prior to our visit through the Golden Nugget Website. Blue Martini is a little more of a younger crowd. However, the young at heart are there in full force and we were taking a couple out to dinner and drinks that were celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary. Mr. Hudson called me back in response to my email promptly. We discussed several options that he could do to make the evening eventful for an anniversary surprise and he asked that I text him when we arrived. We were greeted from the moment we arrived. Management was greeting and visiting with every guest table. Natalie, our server, was extremely polite, knowledgeable, and very friendly. She had other tables but never failed to make sure we didn't need anything. Attitude reflects leadership and Scott Hudson clearly has the respect of his staff. He represents the type of general manager that any company would want on board if they truly want positive recognition and feedback from their customers. Our evening: Drinks: Old Fashion, Blue Martini, Corona, and Water Food: Pretzel and Beer Cheese, Buffalo quesadillas, Garlic Parmesan Wings and Beef Tenderloins. Dessert: Blue Martini Management with the help of the Golden Nugget Bakery, arranged for me the most amazing chocolate cake and it included "Happy 60th Wedding Anniversary". It was brought out to our table by Blue Martini's Head Chef and served to us. Live Music: We arrived at 5:30 PM and left before the 8:00PM start time. (Rouge Krewe) During set-up they did sound great. I would ask that Golden Nugget consider booking a Country Band to cover all music genres. It always gives me a bit of hope when a business goes above and beyond the call of duty and provides excellent service. The food was wonderful, from preparation to presentation. However, what truly made the meal unforgettable was the staff...always smiling, helpful and constantly trying to cater to all the guests' individual needs to ensure a totally enjoyable dining experience! Scott Hudson, Blue Martini General Manager and his staff clearly want you to have an experience "Nothing Short of Fantastic". If you are looking for a place for a relaxing evening for dinner, drinks, and a great atmosphere, then Blue Martini could be the place you're looking for. Awesome nightclub!!! We came here for the first time for a bachelorette party, and we had a blast! It was the perfect party spot for a Saturday night. We will definitely come back often! BEST POINTS: There was a nice population of every age group, solid ratio of men to women, so anyone can fit in. Bartenders are attentive and quick to make orders (*side note: prices are typical for venue like this). They play a good variation in popular dance music, from the 90's (throwbacks for a little old school fun) to the most current popular tunes. The DJ keeps the music going non stop, and the dance floor is filled with people having a good time. There's also a nice patio area, plus a good number of seats at the two bar stations to mingle & hang out. The bathrooms are clean and well kept. You may turn up an eye to the following claim I'm about to make because this place is in a casino, but it still stands that this is one of the best bars I've ever been to. No question. I loved the space, I loved the variety of drinks to choose from, I loved the actual drinks, I loved the happy hour prices, and I loved the service. What more could I ask for? Blue Martini is described as an upscale bar, which can often mean a snotty or uppity environment, but I didn't find that to be the case. I went a couple of times while staying at the Golden Nugget, particularly because of their half price cocktails and martinis during their happy hour from 4-7pm Wednesday-Friday. I was never able to go later in the evening, but it seemed like it was fun then as well. Also, if there was a cover charge, it must be only in the evening because there wasn't any around those 4-7pm hours. I tried their namesake drink, the Blue Martini, but wasn't the biggest fan. It was well-made but not my kind of drink. I also had a Starburst (delicious!) and a Lemon Drop (classic but good). The drinks are strong - very strong - and I appreciate that they give you the entire martini shaker to refill your drink as opposed to just one pour. On top of that, what made the experience great was the bartender, Christina. She was friendly, personable, and helpful; she made excellent drinks and excellent suggestions for what to drink and eat both at Blue Martini and in the area. Superb! read more

The service sucked to begin with. No one cared, when I asked for someone to come to our table, I got a hostes to tell whe that they were too busy, and they would get to me when they had time. Everything took forever, the waitress was aggravated, and the service was just mediocre at best. The food wasn't even thst good. Heard good things about this place from my friends - the same friends who went with me to the lounge. There were seven of us, with me being the only one who looks different from the rest of the group (read: not white). Before walking into the club, a couple of my friends were talking to one of the hostess about getting bottle service, while the rest of us, myself included, waited and had conversations with each other. Once my friends signaled us to come into the lounge, one by one we started walking in, with me being in the very back (not even 1 foot away from the next person) and guess what? I was stopped from entering by the man at the door. He looked me up and down and said "Are you with them?" to which I responded with an exasperated "yes". He paused for a bit before allowing me to walk in. WHAT THE HELL DUDE?! The whole freaking time, I was there with the group, conversing with the group, waiting with the group, and you still questioned me? Anyway, I had a blast once I got inside the club. Having bottle service means that I didn't have to keep going back to the bar to get a drink even though every time I walked pass the bar, it never looked too crowded which means waiting for a drink shouldn't take too long. Also, the staff who was assigned to our table, I believe her name was Savannah, was super friendly and all around awesome while working our table. I wouldn't mind coming back. But if I ever get stopped from entering with my friends in the future, I think my reaction would be a lot more aggressive. I don't care if that could get me banned from the lounge. We've been to Golden Nugget Casino many times and never managed to stop into Blue Martini. My husband and I finally stopped by on our most recent trip and we had a fun time! It's a bigger space than we expected with three different bars, a few Black jack tables, and a stage for a live band. The band playing last night was really good. We visited on the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend, so we knew it would likely get crowded, which it did. I wonder what the crowd is like on a normal weekend. Anyway, drink prices are kind of high, but typical for an upscale bar in a casino. I had a starburst martini and my husband had an old fashion. Both were made well and you could tell the bartenders at the outside bar knew what they were doing! We'll likely be back. Also...they had a cover after 10pm. read more

We used to come every Thursday we don't gamble but we go to the casino to dine and we always end up at the blue martini for the live music and the entertainment. Now we started going for the last couple weeks on Wednesday we find we enjoyed the band more and it's a lot more fun Lotta nights it's ladies night. My husband and I love this place and they have some great food last night we saw a lady eating a lobster tacos and I'm telling you what I think they used an entire lobster tail on her taco She said it was delicious. We have had the crab and shrimp dip with bruschetta and my husband loved it. You have to come and check this place out and we don't drink martinis we drink beer. We don't dress up it's a casual place there are some people that are dressed up but you don't have to be. But we've had a great time every single time we go there. We absolutely adore the servers and the bartenders and the staff there or just perfectly welcoming and will do anything to make your night great. There are so many choices for food there there's so many drinks that you can order. And if you have a Landry card give it to them every time you pay and you get points and then you earn money towards other times that you dine anywhere in the casino. We came here this evening for food and a drink around 8pm. There wasnt much a crowd yet but it seems like a fun place. If you come here only come for the drinks and atmosphere. The food is terrible. I ordered the beef tenderloin sliders. It was dry, cold and no flavor. My fried ordered the shrimp po boy and it came with cold shrimp. The shrimp wasn't even fried. The margaritas are good. My first time to Blue Martini's was during fourth of July weekend. There was a $10 coverage per person and it seemed fair because the live band playing at the time was pretty amazing and it was a fairly decent crowd that night. The bartender was nice and was pretty efficient and provided good customer service. I had no problems with them. However, my boyfriend and I went again this past weekend and the weird thing was they changed their coverage fee. What surprised me was it was more than what we paid for during the fourth of July weekend AND they were not even packed even at 1:30am...AND the live band had just left. read more

The service is good, especially at the bar, well except for one female bartender that doesn't know how to smile and doesn't have a personality at all. The wings on Sunday for football are heavily breaded and to personally aren't very good. The nachos are just a hand full of chips with a little queso on top, not like real good nachos. This place gets very crowded on weekend nights, a lot of dancing and partying. So if you do not mind paying over the top for drinks then check this place out. Just left this lounge, only going for the Halloween contest. Someone I know entered (or so he thought), only to find out after waiting until midnight, that he should have had an "entry card" to get on stage to be judged. When he paid his cover and entered the lounge he, and two others in his party asked what he needed to enter the contest. All three in his party were told NOTHING! But when midnight came and they said only card holders were to get on stage, the two others that were with the one who thought he was entered, begin asking the same persons they asked when entering the lounge, why they weren't told about the card. Only to be looked at from each employee with a dumbfounded look and answers of "I don't know, and What, I cant hear you" that's when I knew it was rigged. So.... IF you are thinking of entering their so called Halloween costume contest next year, don't waste your time. My friends costume was $3000 and made by a professional company that makes costumes for movies. I didn't see even ONE that compared to his, so I know someone didn't want him to be entered. The Blue Martini staff should be embarrassed and ashamed of themselves for not helping customers who wanted to enter and thought they were entered, and for being so unorganized and not having ALL employees on the same page and ALL EMPLOYEES knowing how to direct their patrons in the direction they need to go when holding contests. Posted to Blue Martini Site on Thursday night 9/10/15 with no response... We were at the outside bar and asked that the doors be open around 7:15. The lovely bartender asked a manager if they could open them for us as it cools the outside area. The manager she talked to said yes in 15 minutes. We asked about 7:35 if she could see if they would open them. A different manager "Tim" came out. He said the doors would be open at 8pm. I asked who said 15 minutes at 7:15. He became very confrontational and invaded my personal space as I sat at the bar. I really could not believe the way he was acting. He acted in such a manner that I thought he wanted to fight or kick us out. We had not been here long. We are professionals and frequent quite a few lounges. I have NEVER been talked down to or confronted like this. I am actually still here writing this. I would highly suggest you find another position not dealing with the public for this guy. He has absolutely no business in the customer service business. I hope for the future of this location you take this review into consideration.
